The other consortium is coming to save us and build UWE without thinking about and never expecting a penny back or something They have massive experience too. I understand their ancestors undertook the planning for the charge against the Russian guns at Sebastopol. They never wavered in their charge toward ultimate destruction.

The other consortium is coming to save us and build UWE without thinking about and never expecting a penny back or something The Consortium have already sent the bucket round at all the other lower league clubs they were going to purchase and therefore have £30m ready to go on the stadium. That's on top of the excessive purchase price they're prepared to stump up for the club.

A message to the Fan's directors. Could it be feasible to have a means of donating to a fund so that Supporters may have a specific goal of assisting the re-development of the Mem. Those of us who live away from Bristol or who are just not able to attend games may wish to donate. Older Supporters may well remember the times when a large bin was carried around The Greyhound track so that the crowd could throw coins into. I don't remember who benefitted from this money and I don't propose the same method should be employed today, however, Electronic deposit terminals could be installed at convenient locations around the ground to accept cash and this could be linked to a running total display for all to see. Regular or variable donations could be carried out from individual 's bank accounts at any time. The fund would have to be protected to ensure it served its purpose. is this a joke

So we've gone from a Cat 2 training ground and brand new purpose built stadium to "Buy a Brick"?? I'm so fed up with us being so sh**e. Why you wouldn't want to support the team and club any way you can is beyond me. I get fed up with people on here spending the owner's money on the team they say they've supported all their lives. The current board have invested plenty of money already, and I'd leave it to them to decide how they're going to spend their money in the future. I for one would decide to spend my money on supporting this, meagre as it is. I already have my name on a plank in Bristol Zoo Penguin enclosure. Nuff said.

How do you equate a proposal to support the Club financially with the term "joke"? I am prepared to donate a one off amount and on a regular basis and I am sure others might wish to do the same. Currently there appears to be no vehicle to do this with confidence that the money will go to the right cause. Our roofer friend offered his services and was belittled. I have a sense that some in our midst imply a large slice of entitlement from the AQ family, whereas I believe that there should be a means for Supporters to donate to an important cause.

A lot of our supporters can't afford to go and see the Gas every home game yet this is a plan?

You still haven't explained how donating money is helping the current predicament. We've been told that funding isn't an issue, we've been told the finance is in place but for some reason you think fundraising is necessary. It's a bit like your mate saying "I've got the cash to pay for a drink but the barman says he won't serve me because he thinks I've had enough" and you responding "Ah sorry about that, mate I'll loan you the price of a pint".

If WAQ is a billionaire why would he need any extra cash to fund a stadium that supposedly already has funding in place?

Why do Fans contribute to the FFS Club now that the FC is awash with cash? I suspect they feel they are doing their bit.

Much the same as buying a 50/50 ticket, I buy one with the hope I am going to win and get absolutely mullered in the bar afterwards
