The fat lady's not singing yet No shes just having a pasty first, and trying to get her xxxl pink top on. I'm standing wael clear then if she's savouring the delights of our pastrys i'll be even more worried if she starts squating as it means she's clearing her throat

Amazing how many fans slagged off Roberts,Lambert & Taylor when they were first signed, they didn't turn out too bad in the end. Give the lad a chance. Have we signed someone? No I posted that in error, meant to have posted it on the other forum where someone was criticising Tom Nichols.

Bit dramatic me thinks. We've made some good signings this summer IMO.
We need to give them a chance to gel and from recent results this appears to be happening.
Really impressed with Sercombe, Slocombe and Parts who seems to be coming into his own now. I'm much more concerned about keeping BB today than being desperate to bring in new players!
DC said he had a couple of targets, if the deals cant be done then he won't be panic buying anyone which I respect. Why not put your trust in DC, with 2 promotions and our highest league finish for years don't you think he has earnt it? UTG!

Gives us a chance to pounce in the winter. Not unhappy.

Typical crap......some people are only happy if we are making signing, regardless to how well they do. Pehaps, just maybe DC has taken a look and decided he has enough quality in the reserves / youth and wants to give them a go. Or maybe there is nobody that interests him that has become available.
DC's approach has worked each season for the last 3, and yet there are still people who wont be happy until we go back to our dark days of offering contracts to has beens who do not give a f8ck, and we get rid of players like Sinclair who would run through brick walls for Rovers and replace them with names who spend 90 mins posing about.
We have a decent size squad, some good youngsters seemingly coming through, and are starting to shape up nicely in the league, and yet this, it would seem, is not good enough.
Personally, I love the approach DC is taking. The core of the squad remains, gradually improving it with a handful of signings, and providing the opportunity for youngsters to grab a place. Long may it continue.

Well if 5 wins from 7 games is masking a problem lets hope the same masking continues all season. It would leave Rovers on approx. 99 points.

My God. When did we become a self help group for manic depressives? Sure we won 5-1 a few days ago, don't need to sell our best player, have a decent development squad, have won our last 4 and other managers praise our squad, team ethos and we have Stoke praising our style of play etc. But hey ho, let's find a reason to flog ourselves.

I think we have a very good squad. The ins are better than the outs in my opinion and we have lost none of our best players.
Could've done with a cdm but in reality with sincs lines sercombe and Clarke we have enough quality there and Partington can cover there if we somehow lose 3 of those 4 to injury or suspension.
A winger is the one I think we should've got and why get rid of monty if to not be replaced?
On the flip side of that though, with this system we are playing at the moment, Nicholls and Harrison can play a bit wider and broom will likely push on this season as well as obviously bodin and Moore being there.
So overall fairly happy if nobody is brought in and if it leaves room in the budget for January then happy days.

Think people get frustrated with nothing coming from the board in relation to progress or otherwise on stadium improvements, training ground etc.For 18 months we all thought UWE was on course but the announcements only came when someone called Brown leaked the news it had fallen through. Higgsy made monthly statements which contained nothing whatsoever of any substance.'We'd like to welcome Fred to the club and wish Joe all the best'.etc,etc. This lot announced the new training ground but still tell us nothing of any substance since then.In fact they tell us nothing at all!!!! Looks like we'll still be at the decaying Mem for the rest of my lifetime. Just speak to the fans Guys and tell us what-or what isn't- happening to end all the spurious speculation. DC ,Do not lose the faith. You and Marcus keep us believing.

I'd rather no activity today than one in and one out as we know who the one out would be. DC is happy with the squad and they've pulled more points already from the teams we have played than we got from those teams last season entirely. So all is fine here. I wonder if those unhappy may be underestimating how important BB is to us. I literally believe he could be the difference between mid table and playoffs.

I totally trust DC but you cant say he is 100% satisfied with the squad when he's said today he was after 1 or 2 more

Well if 5 wins from 7 games is masking a problem lets hope the same masking continues all season. It would leave Rovers on approx. 99 points. You seem to be overlooking the fact we have played four league games and won two and lost two. As far as I am aware cup games don't add points to your league total. That would equate to 69 points at the end of the season, if our present league form continues.

How long have you had this typed up and ready to put on here, yet more miserable rubbish, so predictable from the op, DC was disappointed with the performances a few weeks ago, not with HIS recruitment.

With no signings looking likely after all that has been said by DC I just cannot believe that we now have to go until January without signing another midfielder or winger. Anyone who thinks our squad is good enough to get top 6 is kidding themselves. 4 victories have covered up the weaknesses we have and DC thought we had three weeks ago. Lack of signings is a worry. Typical defeatest crap.
