Not losing anyone today was much more important to me than bringing in new faces. Losing Bodin was my main worry and it sounds like he will definitely be staying so happy days.
I'm glad DC hasn't gone out and panic buyed today. This team is more than good enough to challenge this year and we will be absolutely fine until January, when we can reassess and then maybe look to add to the squad if the deal looks right.

You seem to be overlooking the fact we have played four league games and won two and lost two. As far as I am aware cup games don't add points to your league total. That would equate to 69 points at the end of the season, if our present league form continues. Shame no one told DC the cup games were pointless. Although, personally, a couple of goals each for Harrison, Sercombe, Telford, Broom and two more for Billy were worth something, plus the game time for a few others; and I'd say winning away at a championship team must do something for the boys. In answer to the original point of this thread I've just one question, When were Rovers ever not a selling club? Today is seminal in my lifetime. I like this, I really like this. In DC we trust! UTG

Bullshit from Steve 192 Delusions of grandeur I think over his pontificating match reports. Go get a life Unreasonably very harsh on a guy who follows HIS team all over the country. A guy who clearly thinks a lot of his club and is entitled to his opinion without crasse sh?t coming from you or anyone else come to that. Forums are about opinions - they dont have to agree with what you think all the time. Has he ever given you a hard time - cheap shots and easy to criticise - much more difficult to be constructive.

Cannot believe the negativity on here today, DC has brought is some really good players and we have a solid looking squad, he wanted a couple more but for reasons we will never know it didn't happen. Let's get behind the manager and squad and stop bleating like some spoilt kids who didn't get the toys they wanted for Christmas

No need for insults. Debate the OP's point, but don't attack him. Consider this a warning.
Thanks in advance. Utter bollox Sugar. That post is not deserving of a fecking warning. Tend to agree with Tbone. Who cops more stick than most on here. The OP has written off a team that have won 4 on the bounce having played some of the toughest fixtures available. To those that believe in the squad- the OP is pretty offensive. Throw our dolly's out the pram too much. We'll be ok.

With no signings looking likely after all that has been said by DC I just cannot believe that we now have to go until January without signing another midfielder or winger. Anyone who thinks our squad is good enough to get top 6 is kidding themselves. 4 victories have covered up the weaknesses we have and DC thought we had three weeks ago. Lack of signings is a worry.

I do worry about our midfield, with Sincs already injured we can't afford to get anymore injuries in that position!!

Thanks in advance. Quite right Mr Moderator. I think Steve has gone a little over the top with his reaction but no need for nasty personal stuff like that Oldie. No need for it at all but at least he's consistent!

He has had his say about a relevant topic on a forum. He's done nothing wrong in my view and didn't deserve a personal insult. I think the mod did the right thing.

What perspective? We generate huge amounts of cash flow to fund great players and back up in every position? Really? I'm not sure who mentioned funding great players (regardless, it is not possible) so I cannot answer that. I'm just pointing out a potential tactical issue if the team were to become one-dimensional, because as it stands, there isn't a player from the development squad (yet) ready to take that position. It could also help on counter attacks when pressed in our own half. As Finnish gas said, free transfers are also a possibility if necessary, but I don't see what is unrealistic about getting an additional transfer. DC himself thought it was possible today.

We definitely need young hungry players like Jamie white and experienced pros like Alan gow. Dc is is clearly a clown for not getting both on 10 year contracts. Let's get back down the pub?

Neither were good on Championship Manager, unlike Robbie Ryan and Mark Smith. (and more recently, Jonny Burn) Not even when White was Southampton academy top scorer and academy player of the year? Kevin Street was a Championship Manager legend. And who could forget Cherno Samba.
