Anyone got a free and totally illegal way of watching tonight's game? Tap on somebody's door on Filton Ave and ask them if you can watch the match from their one of their upstairs rooms overlooking the ground?

I'm now quite please with iFollow. Initially I had nothing but problems, but the last few games have been fine. Yes, it does freeze now and again, but I think that is due to local bandwidth issues rather than iFollow. I do wish I could listen to the commentary at the same time though. I can have one or the other, but not both! So why have Rovers blocked this? I have contacted iFollow about this, and they say that it is a club issue and I should contact the club. Bah !

So other clubs have the commentary for their games? iFollow has pretty much always been ok for me since the start. Picture not brilliant on a laptop screen (it's better on a mobile). Sound quality for games at the mem has been a bit hit and miss. Comes and go's. Also not sure what the cameraman was doing last night. When we made a sub the camera was on the GK waiting to take the goal kick and I couldn't hear clearly the announcements so I had to check on Twitter so see who was coming on!

Here is the reply I got from iFollow.... "Hello Michael The choice of whether or not to have commentary or neutral sound/crowd noise is one made by the club. After consultation with fans some clubs choose to go with a natural sound/crowd noise experience. Since then there has been a lot of feedback from fans requesting commentary over matches and as such they may decide to change this in the future. For more information I would suggest contacting the club directly. Kind regards Oliver iFollow Support "

I'm fine not having commentary to be honest, but it would be nice to track the current score so the cameraman doesn't have to look at the scoreboard every so often.

I assumed it was local bandwidth as well so did a speedtest but my BB was 20+ meg so it's clearly an iFollow issue, the picture quality is pretty poor and with the quality of football lately think I'll revert to following games on the BBC text updates/twitter etc for the next few games!!

Topper - You need to get your old man to replace that old steam-driven transistor black & green Atari screen you've got.

Yeah I noticed yesterday that they've enforced having a single device at a time. I've not actually tried simultaneously playing audio & video - I'll have a look at the weekend.

Think it would be almost impossible to play both as the video lags the game in real time, the only way would be to stop the audio play back and then try and sync it.

I just want to confirm that it is impossible for illegal activity to happen with instructions in the thread. It is however against broadcast rights between EFL and Sky for UK viewers to buy the service to watch matches within UK. Â This is a ToS issue, not a legal one. Maybe it would be better if a mod can just explain that the thread was closed due to not wanting to suggest how to get around the EFL/Sky rights of broadcasting in the UK. We moderate a forum in our free time for your benefit and you want us to explain to this extent? Well done for using the exact correct phrasing to make your point. Come on, it's pretty damn obvious why it was removed and it had to be.

Come on, it's pretty damn obvious why it was removed and it had to be. I follow the rules and have no objection to you or other mods removing whatever you feel like. However, yes some clarification would be nice since the iFollow T&C's, which are available on all EFL club sites, including Bristol Rovers (link below) do not state an exception to using iFollow with a VPN or any software to change your device geographical location. www.bristolrovers.co.uk/terms-and-conditions/So no, it's not obvious to me why it was removed.
