The ref today was inconsistent, he never gave the same decision for two similar challenges.
He only seemed to give us decisions when we were leading, maybe he knew his accy was f**ked by that point?

If he had been equally assertive with their theatrics and fouling he would have booked 10 players on the pitch and it was not that sort of a match. He never really looked in charge of the game and thought by flashing his card he was; good refs don't need to do that. At this level refs are too easy to manipulate and whilst I don't like it I wonder if our players need to get a bit more streetwise (if you can't beat them join them). Not seen it again yet and it was at the opposite end to where I was but the decision to book Moore for diving looked a particularly bad decision.

Moore dived, partington lucky to stay on, lines could have been booked twice before being carded, broadbent poor challenge,Telford reckless strikers challenge, which of these were bad decisions? Can't think of any Blackpool players that should have been yellowed. Did allow a bit of yardage gains at free kicks and throw ins, but I thought he got most important decisions right and tried to keep the game flowing. Just my opinion probably not shared by many judging by the crowd noise towards him.

Think I recall noting that at the end of the game none (or few) of the team actually went up to shake hands with the ref which I thought was unusual. (Assuming I saw what I think I saw!) Maybe they were just too busy celebrating😀

Yawn.
I make a point of not moaning about officials since we were in the conference.
Nobody is biased against us, sometimes marginal decisions go the oppositions way. Come on lads, we're all adults.

Watched on iFollow today and I thought the ref was fairly decent, clearly might just be me though.

Don't think anyone has said he was biased, just had a poor game. It happens. Just got to live with it. Was just pointing out an observation (maybe) that this time the professionals thought so as well? Matters not one way or the other, the worlds still spinning. 🌏

I had a pretty good view of Moores 'dive' and, whilst I cannot see a replay, think he was clipped before he apparently dived so I disagree with you. The ref was inconsistent at best and some of his decisions were frankly baffling. Other than Brett Huxtable he is the worst I have seen at the mem.

Stood behind the dugouts four Observations.
- the fourth official joined in with 'sh** referee' - Moore did not dive. And when there player was judged to have dived- no card, no punishment.. - there manager was begging for cards, from minute one. - Telford picked the pocket of one of there defenders. The Defender bottled it, and feigned foul. Felt Telford would have had a clear shot on goal after that. Awful cheating, that the ref bought.
Overall, there was not a material impact on the game. And we won.

I don't think he was biased but the ref just kept getting played by the lightweight Blackpool players that would throw themselves to the ground whenever one of our lads so much as touched them.
That's poor play by Blackpool and nearly all those yellow cards we're poor decisions by the ref, no doubt about it for me.
After it kept happening again and again the crowd then reacted to the injustices by shouting abuse and singing that old classic "sh*t referee" (me included!) and I do wonder whether this may have made the ref even more inclined to give decisions in Blackpool's favour.
Quite rarely do any of our players dive which is a credit to our side as we really just want to play football and we're prepared to be physically strong with and without the ball, nothing wrong with that is there?
Quite interesting to see the difference between Nicholls and James from last season who are both quite small. James fell over at the touch of a feather whereas Nicholls does not.

Yeah, that's a fairly common one, where had the incident been a defender on an attacker, the ref would have let go, but coz it's the other way round, they often penalise, coz, presumably, they're worried that if there is a goal, their decision will come under more scrutiny. Basically they just err on the side of safety.

Overall, although it felt biased from the ref there were not too many 'stonewallers' that he got wrong.
As mention before the Telford foul- was most frustrating. More just odd to see one side get 5 yellows and the other team get none. But perhaps if Darrell ran towards the fourth after every incident- there might have been paratity.
