And your favourite goal of the 6 ? For me definitely Ellis' second. Taking the ball forward onto his left and caressing it into the corner from 18 yards - a couple of years ago he wouldn't have been able to do that with his right let alone his left ! Well done to Marcus for getting their belief up and focusing on the technique. All Six for me. I've had a brilliant w/end, I'm going to have a good day today and tomorrow and Weds, Thurs & Friday! Back down to earth on Saturday evening, hope not? If results go our way Saturday, could we possibly sneak into the playoffs? Now there's a weekend waiting to happen.

Anyone notice Telford got booked again?
I think he's only one yellow away from a ban - which is poor for how little game time he's had!

So if we accept that the squad is capable of delivering this kind of result more than once it could point to the fact a left winger or any winger is not actually required (?) except as an option to change games around if needed. New signings would therefore be. A full time replacement for Marc Bola (of similar style) A full time replacement for Tom Broadbent (as he inturn could be the replacement for mr Sweeney ) A full time replacement for Dom Telford. These would be the obvious summer first choice targets to maintain what the squad already has. Then move for defensive midfield cover , wingers etc. Why would we accept the squad is capable of repeating result like this more than once? Not having a dig, but 6-0 away from home doesn't happen often! We all know a 3-0 defeat to Poxford at the weekend (for which there is more evidence to suggest will happen looking at our form) and we'll be sh** again and the three signings you list will become 9 Well I did say IF . "This kind of result "may not be 6-0 away wins..but clean sheets with goals scored. We do know they are capable of it as they have produced similar victories in all the D.C. seasons so far. (is this correct anyone ?) The results are up and down for sure ,but as you climb the ladder results will become more like that anyway.

I sometimes check out the press reports from the opposition's point of view to get an alternative (and less biased?) perspective on a game. Here are the introductory paragraphs from a match review in the Northampton Chronicle - they make enjoyable reading...
Congrats to Darrell and the boys, days like these don't come around that often. I just hope I don't have to wait another 18 years before the next one! UtG

Also I'll never forget the away game the champions / promotion year at their place it was a terrible ground a boiling hot day we went 1-0 down and Christian Mc clean scrambled one in before Olly scored a screamer to win us the game 2-1. It was part of a six game run that saw us go 0-1 down and come back to win 2-1. Incredible times. Even yates nearly scored, great day👍
