Does anyone have any yet? Any thoughts on what we might expect?

I expect a Mem re fit which will hold about 15- 20,000. Don't expect it any time soon it'll prob be at least 5-10 years before we've got it finished but I'd rather that than play in a soulless bowl which we wouldn't have really owned in a soulless area which is what UWE would have been UTG

The one thing I've noticed from a few away games recently, notably Fulham and Wolves, is that the more modern stadiums (or at least those having had a series of upgrades) seem to be far from the pitch and the course of play. If we can keep the closeness to the game and end up with something which is much more modern, with scope to grow as a club (think supporting Championship minimum) then I'd be happy.

Does anyone have any yet? Any thoughts on what we might expect? According to Mrs Gasshole I'm completely thoughtless . I used to think she was saying faultless, but no. Something a bit less tentish would be nice.

If we're staying where we are they're really gonna have to think about parking (yes I know it's been said before) but really noticed it last couple of weeks. Turned up at 13:45 for Plymouth, couldn't get within a mile of the ground. Not a problem for me but obviously is for some of our older fans or ones with young kids. Turned up at 14:30 for Northampton and parked on some dead ground pretty much outside and was away 10 minutes after kick off.
The area round the Mem is so built up and the roads so tight I just don't know how they will do it. A park and ride is a start but if you're looking at attracting bigger crowds I don't know how that would be executed.

UTG Most prem stadiums haven't got sh** loads of parking take old trafford for example

We might be better buying up extra land or renting it like the old ford garage or bus station next door

I was walking along the top of Rodway hill yesterday and thought about the land/empty field at the back of Cossham street and Cleve Rugby club.
I started thinking - we could buy Mangos out and then let them use the new ground with us.The area there could easily be built into a 30k arena. Its by the ring road as well as being in Gas heartland. The fact that I live just 5 min walk way from this site has nothing to do with my suggestion.😊

You can't get much street parking in the area, but there are plenty of places to park (at a price) within a mile of the ground including a gert big car park at the cricket ground.

On the brightside the mem site is too small to worry about that.

I had a dream on Friday night that I was watching a game from the Blackthorn end with my uncle, the terrace had been removed and the entire end was now full of those big leather lazy boy sofas you get in the VIP section at the cinema. The ground also opened up on to a beach where I went fishing after the game.
Make of that what you will.

Oh I would walk 500 miles And I would walk 500 more To be the man that walks a thousand miles To watch Billy Bodin score
I used to walk to Eastville from the Welly, Whole length of Muller road without one fkin pub, Fkin thirsty by the time I got to the Black Swan. Many a time after an away game I would hoof it back to Patchway from Eastville. Not much fun on a wet Wednesday night. I'm sure there are plenty of options on a Saturday. Midweek could be tricky though with less time and more work traffic, defo affect the gate. Sometimes you just have to put yourself out for the lads.
