I'd take a look at the league table, turns out Woking are actually quite a good side Are you DC in disguise? It's time we stop building up these sides and start promoting our own attributes. I have every confidence we can beat them, after all we've done well lately. It's just that lumping them in with Nuneaton as a 'relatively easy game' might be a little silly, they have an excellent manager at this level and some very good players. Won't be easy, but of course I know we can beat them! Especially at the Mem. Name me a manager that does ?There are a few: even Sir Alex did on the odd occasion (The 6-1 defeat to Man City in particular). What most of them won't do though is turn around and name and blame individual players in the media instead of holding their hands up. That I can't stand. There are ways of punishing individuals - the biggest one being to drop them or even get rid of them. I presume you're implying Clarke does that, but I can't remember him openly doing that in the media. If there is evidence then fair enough - as you say it's not the right thing to do. The only comments I can remember are the 'some players need to look at their attitude' after Mansfield, but even that wasn't specifically targeted at anyone. I wouldn't say he's 'punishing' individuals, but generally his man management has been good so far. Parkes' transformation over the summer, the handling of Ellis Harrison, even taking Leadbitter out of the spotlight for a few games. Hopefully the next man to come back firing is Ryan Brunt. I'm not counting alleged comments from DC which have been posted on forums by the way (e.g 'only 6 or 7 players are good enough' last season). I just can't remember any naming and blaming from Clarke in the media.

Results are improving that's all that matters, i think a few share my thoughts of DC in that the jury is still out.
Let's hope he becomes the real deal!

I remember he did in the Barnet game, saying on more than one occasion he made too many changes. I don't want to carry this topic on too long because I was actually trying to give him a bit of credit, but most recent example was the Braintree game where he first put blame on the ref, then accused players of giving up and just lumping the ball forward. I'm sorry but if they are giving up then the manager has to take some responsibility for that. Half an hour to go against a team of part-timers and the players he has talked about as a 'hard working, dedicated' bunch at times are now being described as being devoid of fight and not following the tactical plan. Well, if there is another plan other than lumping it forward then it seems to me these players seem to rip up the manager's script on regular occasions - it isn't just a one off. Also, refs decisions are going to go for and against you. A loss at Braintree can't be blamed solely on a poor decision by the officials. We should have enough to cope with that and bounce back if we have any intention of getting out of this league.

ps. it took him two days to admit fault in the Barnet game. At first he said the players had not followed instructions and that he was shocked at how it had gone so wrong.
