There have been talks about a statue of Geoff Dunford for all he have done for our club.
I think it is upto us fans to make it happen.
What's everyone thoughts on this?

If there was a fund me page type of thing, I’d happily put money towards it

If this is taken forward might I suggest that it is him and his father not just GD? Both are of equal importance in our history. Just a thought.

Defiantly for Dennis but I wouldn’t support one for GD. I personally think he was a divisive character at times who didn’t always put the club ahead of his own personal gains.

Its just my opinion but.....as statues cost an absolute fortune to have made .I would have thought the idea of this amount of money being spent on this type of thing would go against the whole ethic of the Dunford family at Rovers. All that scrimping and saving and fundraising to keep the club going, every penny counting ,people taking on several jobs ,mucking in. I think a statue is too flamboyant.
In a new stadium/main stand in the main entrance hallway the walls should be a "Hall of fame/honour" .Where portaits/photos of the Rovers elite servants from various decades should be .
Just my view.

Maybe we could install a working PA system in his memory.

Think he and his Father are worth every penny of more than a photo in a hall of fame tribute. Naming a stand in the Family honour would be the way to do it.
