I thought Leads was outstanding last Saturday so what does DC do, play him in a pointless game on Tuesday then rest him tonight, likewise why start with Harrison on the bench when he hasn't played since the previous Saturday and has been out one consistent performer recently. I honestly think one of us could do a better job than DC, as why can't he just pick his best starting 11 in an away game for once? Maybe he thinks Partington is better than Leads? On the whole I do myself. Who would you have dropped for Ellis? Drop Gaffney who was our MOTM last sat or Nichols who has just scored in his lst 2 games? Not sure what didference it would have made regardless considering we conceded 4 goals. I honestly think you have a memory loss problem if you think we could do better than DC and stating what you would have done differently after the event doesn't help anyone. Have you watched any recent games where Parts has played? I've no idea what's gone wrong with him but like Sweeney he seems to have lost the ability to defend, the game at Rochdale his performance was embarrassing to the extent that he was subbed at half time. Meanwhile the fit again Leads was superb v MK. As far as Harrison apart from Bodin he's been our best player this season so why wouldn't you start him in an away game where Nichols has been utterly useless all season.

Yes he's been hit and miss but so has Leads. I agree about Ellis but you could have made a case for starting any 2 of the 3. The fact we conceded 4 and you're moaning about that shows your pettyness. There's a group of people on here who love to knock DC when he's down and they think they could do better than him. Get a grip.

As a football team we arent doing that bad....we are badly missing our best player (like every other club in th world would) and DC must not believe his luck that a player we chased all summer (sweeney) looks a complete shadow of his former self compared to last seas (off the field problems? who knows!?). What is largely adding to the fans frustration is no UWE, a bumbling chairman and a board with no interest in player investment when we finally thought we’d shaken off our ragbag nickname...be very careful what you wish for, DC is without doubt the best thing we’ve got! Is Nichols a shadow though or just the same player but has failed to score a couple more goals than he did this time last season? But from my perspective Nichols has played pretty well and has been unlucky up until his recent goals. He's had numerous chances cleared or block on the line, he's hit the post or crossbar 3 or 4 times and his overall link up play has been good as well as his movement. When he has the ball at his feet and runs at defenders they get scared and he draws fouls and creates space for others. Forward play for a Centre Forward is not just about scoring goals (albeit that is an important part) - it's also about all round play and contribution. It doesn't matter if it's a forward, midfielder, defender who scores, a goal is still a goal....

I think we must watch different games or value different things in players as Nichols in my eyes has been far from utterly useless all season....
