Does anyone miss them?
Personally I feel we’re actually not too far away, but we could do with impetus. The kind we got from a cunnington, Lyle Della verde or Adam Dawson back in the conference.
Gaffney did it, in league 2.
We’re clearly screaming out for a winger. We don’t even need a world a beater, but someone that gives us an option to play a bit different. To see if it’s for lack of this or lack of that. We’ve got as big a squad as I can remember and it still doesn’t quite feel enough.

Alright having wingers if you are strong in the middle of the park. If you aren't strong then they are a luxury you can do without as they are waiting for service that never comes and they rarely can put in a decent tackle.

However everyone was aware of the rule changes and unfortunately we are suffering because of our poor summer recruitment. Roll on January, but that will almost certainly spell the end of BIlly Bob to so more recruitment needed there too! Let’s just hope Wael makes the funds available as I’m sure he will or it’s gona be a long old winter! UTG

Not an emergency loan, but Blackpool seem to have done well signing an out of contract Angolan international as a free agent: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41944598Why cant we find somebody like that? He looked ok at the weekend.

The kind we got from a cunnington, Lyle Della verde or Adam Dawson back in the conference. There's a few names I'd almost forgotten. They were pretty important at the time though. I remember a lot of us being very keen to sign LDV but DC not having a bar of it. Your post made me wonder what happened to him so I looked at Wikipedia. By god he's been through a lot of clubs in a short space of time. And on a downward trajectory to boot. Looks like DC is a pretty good judge after all! "After playing for Tottenham Hotspur, Della-Verde signed for Southend United in 2007. He signed for Fulham in mid-2011, turning professional on his 17th birthday in January 2012. He signed on loan for Bristol Rovers in November 2014 for an initial one-month period. The loan was extended in early December 2014, although it was cut short a week later after he suffered an ankle injury. After being released by Fulham, he signed a two-year contract with Fleetwood Town in July 2015. He was released by Fleetwood in February 2016, signing a one-month contract with Crawley Town later that month. Della-Verde was released by Crawley Town at the end of the 2015–16 season, and signed for non-league Welling United in August 2016. He was released by Welling United on 19 November 2016. On 2 December 2016, he signed for Concord Rangers. He signed for Dartford in June 2017."

Obviously does not like to settle in one place More likely is it takes less than a year to realise he’s either not up for it or has too many injury probs and then gets released. People always seem to bang on about DCs poor recruitment but he’s signed the majority of our squad and we’re in league 1 so it can’t be that bad. Although I admit and I said at the time in the summer that we needed 2 wingers and a defensive midfiekder and we didn’t get get any of those. In fact we released our only decent winger. But one bad summer recruitment doesn’t make a bad manager.

It's not a certainty, but seems likely if he is out of contract in the summer. Either cash in on him in Jan or see him go for nothing at the end of the season. Doesn't appear we have the cash to compete for his signature if anyone else is interested, and why wouldn't they be?

Yet another unsubstantiated claim that we have no money.
