Not in depth or anything (but inspired by my facebook on this day) and I am assuming I have added this up correctly
Up to the 17th November comparative records (league only)
DC 2017/2018
P17 W7 D0 L10 Pts 21 Goals F25 A40 (including 6-0 win at Northampton and a 4-1 defeat to Peterborough and a 4-0 defeat to Shrewsbury)
PT 2007/2008
P17 W4 D7 L6 Pts 19
after 17 games Goals F17 A21 (No real noticeable results as such)
(went on to finish 16th with 53pts Goals F45 A53)
2008/2009
P17 W5 D5 L7 Pts20 (4 home wins 1 away
after 17 games Goals F31 A28 This included a 6-1 win over Hereford and a 5-4 defeat to Peterborough
(went on to finish 11th with 63pts Goals F79 A61)
The kicker for me was my facebook post and that was we hadn't won a home game in any competition until the 17th November 07/08 season when beating Millwall that season
The draws are the obvious standout in the difference between the two seasons at this point in time
I do wonder however what the reaction to DC would be this season having played 16 games with 16 points looking for our first home win of the season compared to the criticism (some fair, some not) that he is getting now
Will be interesting to pick up the 10 year comparison just after Christmas me thinks

Different teams, different opposition, different budgets, different atmospheres, different players, different pies etc etc etc etc
Same tinpottedness but
IMO comparisons in football are pretty pointless

How about Trollope's second season in league one? 2008/2009 to compare with DC's second season in the league.
One thing I always remember is that Trollope's downfall started not only when LL left but because many of us believed that he tried to take the next step and broke up most of the promotion squad. We all thought is was too soon to let the likes of Elliot and Disley leave when they did.
This is something we should bare in mind when calling for DC to make wholesale changes in January / next summer.

Speak for yourself, Qatar. I certainly didn't think it was too soon to let Disley go. But then I wouldn't pick Linesy as often as DC does.

Lines created more goals in the conference than any other Rovers player he was also our leading assists in league 2 and league 1 last season. Not sure about this season but I bet he’s in the top 3. He’d be one of the first names on my team sheet every game.

As for comparisons dc is a good man manager where as Trollope is an excellent coach so they’re completely different.

Surely, he must be telling himself - hit them LOWER !!

Although PT replaced experience with youngsters just like DC did this summer, perhaps PT should have mentioned that instead of talking cr@p about the fans. Plus didn't he spend months replacing Lambert, (how long did he chase Chris Wood?) a bit like DC with the snake!!

He probably wouldn't be happy with Lampard type goals that bobble six times before hitting the back of the net
