Count lockyer out because he's to good for this level of football after all he's a international player now (so he seemed to think today) you can read his mind? No I was talking to that person who can not be named and you wouldn't believe what else he told me but I can't print it on here 🙈🙉🙊

Sinclair is a great fella. Was very good in the conference, but certainly out of his depth in division 1 Thought he looked a damn sight better than OC in midfield for the last 30 mins yesterday. David Batty even played for England being a similar type of player. If we took out a battler like Sincs just how bad would we look! Agree, l would loan OC out, Sinc is a battler, although in my opinion you need to be able to win the ball, run with the ball, create opportunity and pass it forward, at this level sincs is unable to do it. IMO if sinc is still our midfield battler post the January window we will be under a lot of pressure to escape relegation

I think he has to go back to the 5-3-2 with with wing backs that was used a lot in the last couple of seasons.
Adding another defender to try and stem the flow of goals against.
If BB inst fully fit then don't start him. Ease him back gently. We are desperate for him to get straight back into the team but imagine the horror if he starts next week and pulls up again.

both have been bad, stick with Brown but put a rocket up his ass before the game and at HT - cos he looks like he needs telling what to do !! True , He just looked lost today, as did the rest of them both brown and Lockyer were terrible today, the first two goals conceded were things I see on a Sunday morning at under 14 level. Brown for the second just kept backing off and backing off, don't get me wrong the finish was superb but the lead up to it was dreadful No way was Brown at fault for that goal. He was completely abandoned 3 on 1 by OC and Sercombe. If he dives in it's 3 on 0.

Brown gave the goalscorer all the time in the world to think about where he was going to hit the ball, not saying he should be diving in , he simply put in no challenge whatsoever and gave him far to much space , brown backed off three times. Yes of course other mistakes lead up to it but brown shouldn't be backing off like that , no excuse.

If Brown makes a challenge he takes himself out of the game unless he somehow takes the ball in a 3 on 1. The bloke still had a lot of work to do and those kind of finishes don't he really happen to you when you're on a good run.

Once again Lee Brown is completely sold up the river by the lack of cover in front of him and yet he gets the blame.

Agree, a bit more pressure and he'd almost certainly have had to pass and not shoot. All 3 goals looked to me like avoidable defensive errors if the defence was working well as a unit. Even look at the one Smith spilt, Locks is looking the other way and totally had his eye off the ball

Re read my posts mate , yes he was let down by others ( like I posted earlier ) but his job is to defend, he didn't make a challenge , he continually backed off his man , gave him all the time in the world to think about where he was going to hit the ball , the bang ! Great finish. If brown puts a foot in or attempts to make a block the chances are , they don't score. This isn't a witch hunt , it's an opinion as I was stood right behind the goal.

I'm not just referring to this incident. I remember one game last year when we played a narrow midfield and Brown was expected to cover the entire left side and when he was, obviously, caught out of position he got loads of stick. Thankfully we, unlike now, had the players to change the formation after about 25 minutes on that occasion. What do you suggest Brown does about the player on the outside of him? If he goes in to a challenge then the pass is simple, Brown is taken out of the game and they're in behind us and through on goal anyway. The problem for me is why he was so exposed in the first place, the answer as is the answer to almost all of our problems right now, is the completely unbalanced midfield.

The problem is the DC system of playing. I could accept what people are saying about the midfield not covering if all the defenders or at least 3 of them were marking their players but the problem is that the defenders as a unit are just staying right back to make themselves available for the ridiculous "pass across" we do when we gain possession. By laying off they are giving all the opponents forward players the time and space to bring the ball down and run at them, There needs to be an organiser at the back to ensure opponents are tightly marked and then we might have a chance to get to the ball first rather than rush in. Our midfielders are always having to contend with not only their direct opponents but also the forwards who stand off the defenders who are far too deep. DC is to blame for the poor defending as he sets us up to play that way.

Yup solve the problem by getting in a new manager now so he can make his win decisions in January and not have DC waste time and money bringing in non quality players All. Can see from it's is that wait until Jan then everything will be ok but people are alking about selling bodin and then replacing him where will that get us Realistically this is the only option we have unless we want to get relegated I just wish there could see the writing on the wall Ah here it is. I was getting worried there wouldn't be a ridiculous DC out shout from Midlandgas during a thread about the players. Phew

Agree. Slocombe Mayo BB and Locks. Brown and Leads for width. Sercs sincs and clarke Gaffers and Harrison Agree with most of that Hugo , except I wouldn't have brown, I would use bola as brown has no pace And Partington instead of Leadbitter as Partington is far better on the ball, and with three centre backs wouldn't be as exposed defensively. If we aren't going for wing backs then I'd like to see Bola left wing, see what he can do, never understood playing central players out wide.
