Less competition for the defence. Less pressure on captain marble for his spot.

Why sorry, apart from the snake they'd all reached the end of the line at Rovers but I guess that's what comes after having two consecutive promotions. What i mean is that dc has often got it right when hes released players[sorry for them].

"I was at Middlesbrough for three years. It was a really good experience. It hasn't really worked out at Bristol Rovers so I am here at York now and I can't wait to get going on Saturday. "We will see what happens in January," he added. "Obviously, if I am doing well and I am playing week-in, week-out, I would think about a permanent move." www.yorkcityfootballclub.co.uk/news/club/defender-joins-minstermen-loanSee ya! That's a remarkable quote for a 22 year old who was on the books of a Championship club earlier in the year. Talk about lack of ambition! I know what your saying but see it from his view , how much competitive football has he played in the last year ? It must be driving him mad, good luck to him.

Surprised how low some of our players drop was released, Puddy's still looking for a club and Jamie Lucas is at Bath, now Burn National North, how did they ever hope to make it in Div 1? Think Lucas left Bath last week. where to? Can’t find by googling it.

I think his ambition is to play first team football. Can't see much wrong with that if he's not getting a look in here. I get he wants to get some games and its clear he wont get much game time here, Rollin is now ahead of him too. But....dropping three divisions cant be that ambitious?! I know he cannot move to another league club now but surprised no Conference National teams took a look at him?

A lot on here said we should have kept Montano, but even he cannot get into a league two side right now. Have we even played against any of the players that DC released?

Best of Luck Jonny, i don't think you will be the first to go and due to the lack of money in the club you will only be replaced with development type players
Sad day for Rovers IMO

Burnsie did not get a fair crack, he was restricted to coming into the side when the favoured players were away; even if he had played well, he would have still been dropped when either Tom and or Sweeney are available. IMO this a good move for Burnsie, he gets out of Dodge, and has a chance to play for a manager who rates him.
