Wonder what our owners think when they go to grounds like Wigan,Blackburn,Even Walsall and Oldham shortly.Does it inspire their vision to bring us into the modern world or will we remain in the 1950's forever?? I remenber Hamer and Wael visiting other grounds and training facilities when our owners plans were a bit more ambitious so they must know what's needed to catch up but now clear everything will be a cut-down version with a long time-scale.

I will be surprised if anything is built other than what they have PP for at the moment and the rest of the land sold off to recover costs

Just something that baffles me is how the club go on about how important they need to strive to maximise the clubs revenue yet every year the club shop sell out of a lot of items very quickly and takes a ridiculous time to restock??? Christmas is in touching distance and lots of merchandise isn’t there to sell?? All highly priced in my opinion and they would sell a lot more if the prices were a reduced a touch especially as we’re in a poor period? Off to watch Stoke to-night.They have a shop at the ground and another in Hanley Centre.Bit of a dump the City of Stoke with amazingly cheap houses but Mr Coates ain't afraid to spend his money generated by Bet 365.Not sure how they attract 30,000 crowds with a population half that of Bristol.Filled the corners in for this season to increase the capacity.Miss the intimacy though of following the Gas at Stoke's games despite the plush carpets in the bars at the ground. Their fans moan about the same things as us team selection and manager wise and most have never heard of their two loaness with us.Officials are good when they win but hopeless when they lose. Must be the coldest ground anywhere other than Port Vale!!!!! NB.we beat them 4-1 at this ground in 1999.Cureton Hat -trick.Also here Mark Walters who was a former Stoke player scored the winner when we won again 2-1. Following season but also in 1999.A lot has happened to both clubs since then!! Ian Holloway was player/manager. When we scored our fourth I stood up- they were all-seater even that long ago- and celebrated vociferously..One Stoke yob called me a 'Bristol Bas.... so I showed him my Staffordshire Police Warrant card and he apologised!!!! Priceless.

I remember going to a concert there some years ago and one of the locals saying the wind used to howl through those corners! I explained to him we didn't have that problem as none of our stands were anywhere near each other!!

One merchandise idea of mine which I'm surprised has never been attempted by any football club as far as I know:
Ditch the Christmas market with the annual calendar, and bring out a football season calendar at the start of the season running from august to July....
It could have the seasons fixture list and other club events printed in it, also it wouldn't have ex-players in it after august....

Would have bought a whole kid's away kit for Christmas but no shorts available so didn't buy any of it. I can understand why it's hard to stock the right ratio of shorts and shirts but socks and shorts? Who buys socks and not shorts?

This is exactly what I mean....how can you not have enough stock at the start of the season and and at Christmas? The two biggest selling periods... It has a big knock on effect as getting your first football kit as a kid sets your presidence for the future...and if you see other kids walking around at school with their sh**ty tops on some kids will convert and future fan base will wittle away...

Embrace the tinpotness or we will have no fans left! tinpotness indicates we have a pot to water in, i've been told we do not have a tinpot to do that and use the refurbished Santa Grotto as a multi purpose development building now

It will also be the players / referees changing rooms when we start developing the stands.
