Wasn't so much just his weight gain but the fact he looks a lot older than 45. Seemed to have a pinky eye which probably didn't help. Was just shocked.

This, anyone remember the sh** he tried to cause with his billy big bollox attitude? Telling everyone at Rovers what he was earning at City, Ollie had to chuck him out of the ground.

Rumour on the Bulls forum is that he had his playing budget cut this season, which sounds a bit familiar! Not sure if caretaker player manager fellow ex-Gashead Ryan Green is just a stop gap replacement if not then I can't see how he's going to do a better job.

He has definitely had his budget cut this season and lost his star striker John Mills to Bath as a result. They will have a very tough job replacing Beadle.

Put him and Razor Ruddock together and that’s got the penalty box covered.

This forum is getting toxic. Why are posters so intent on destroying the reputations of all of our former legends. Beads was a legend while he was here and scored a cracking goal against the S##t. So what if he went there, it was years after he left us, We had his best years and he was an inspiration.

Because Holloway had indicated that this incident was the single point that started our decline that season from top spot at Christmas to failing to get in the play offs.
Whether he was right or not is another matter.

I have never heard this, but even if true it is the worst excuse I've ever heard for blowing a six point lead at the top. I do know that There's not much love lost between them, but that's between them they are still both legends imo.

It was in Ollie's book, at the end of the season Roberts came into Ollie's office gave him a bottle of wine and told him he didn't want to play for him again.

Roberts wanted to leave because Rovers and Holloway blew a nailed on promotion and he wanted to better himself, not because Beadle visited the Mem.
