Let’s be having you!!!
We’ve got a huge set of fixtures coming up. For me this month will decide if we’re going for top 6 or treading water. Against the top ten we’ve lost to 9. But we’re not playing those teams for a short while.
Outside of those fixtures we’ve won the majority of our games. For me- we beat ourselves against Oldham and Wimbledon. (Our two worst performances). We have more than a fighters chance against these teams. And if we do get some positive results, we have a chance to put ourselves in a position, to make a move. A couple of recruits in January- and you never know.
This is a call to my fellow gasheads. DC will focus on a game at a time and rightly so but we can: Fill the Mem, back the boys, and let’s see where we can get to before January. T

Can't believe the team that played Wimbledon-worst iv'e seen for yonks-was the same team that played at Wolves and on Sat. If Sat's team turn up for the rest of the season then we're on our way.

We'll finish similar to last season IMO.

Two winnable games coming up. Would leave us on 33pts I think at the halfway point of the season. 40 pts in the second half of the season is not unreasonable and would leave us on the edge of the play offs. We've played the top 6 and struggled so far this season but they've all been away from home. So similar form against the rest and maybe three wins against the top six at home would put us there or thereabouts. Simple

I am very much a glass half full type person, but our first target has to be 52 points and safety. We are only 25 points from that so things are looking a lot better than they were a couple of weeks ago, win the next 2 games which is well within our capabilities and then kick on from there. I’m not worried about the home form that’s starting to pick up nicely, we need a win at Gillingham on Saturday to break this away hoodoo! Which I believe we will get a 1 - 4 away win COYB!

We never get a result at Gillingham. Expect a loss.
Now where's my cyanide pills?

(Our two worst performances)" - I quite agree with you but don't know if you've taken a keen glance at our results this season and where these teams are in the table. We've lost 12 games (9 of those v the current top 10 !!) whereas, we've beaten the bottom 3 and some of the teams around us. So, unless we have a dramatic change of form or even more unlikely, get around 3 new players in Jan (left-midfielder, Left back and defensive/holding midfielder IMO) who will make the starting 11 then we are looking at mid table . One last positive - We've played 21 games - only Gillingham (21st) and Donnie (18th) to play for the first time. So hopefully a minimum of 4 pts there.

We have played the top 7 clubs away. We have lost every game.
We have played the bottom 2 clubs away. We won both games.
If we consider ourselves a mid-table club then the only result that has gone against form away from home is Rochdale, which we lost 1-0 and should have got something from the game.
At home, our losses have come against Wimbledon, Oxford, Oldham and Peterborough, two of whom are just above us and two of whom are below us.
What does this tell us?
Either our good home record will continue and we will beat some of those top sides, whilst our away record will improve as we play lesser sides - we rise up the table to challenge for a play off place. The half-full view.
OR
Our home form will get a bit worse and our away form will get better based on the level of the sides we are playing. We will stay mid-table. The mine's a half view.
OR
Our home form will get a bit worse as we play the better sides, yet we continue to struggle away. We're doomed! The Half-empty view!
Your call!
