GGMI, iirc you've got a bit of history with making misleading posts and threads. Didn't you used to do it quite a lot, just to annoy people? I imagine that the BEP's misleading article title made you think you could post it here, and mislead people with plausible deniability. This is the third time I've edited it. Please don't edit this post or title again. -AF

'Rover president Wael Al-Qadi confirmed recently that a redevelopment of the Memorial Stadium will begin next summer, while he also gave a sort of update on the new training ground earlier in December.'
Well that's good news then.Didn't know we'd committed to actually beginning work as I read they were still looking at 'Alternative Sites'.

I'm lost at exactly what this article aims to achieve....
Could it be that they're setting themselves up for future 'actual' news stories I wonder....

What a misleading headline...till I looked at article I thought BB had signed a new contract. Not a good article just a statement of hopes.

Disgraceful click-bait bottom of the barrel journalism.

Agreed, anything from the Evil Post is pure drivel. The article appears to be setting us up to fail, yet again; we would all like Billy to stay, but cannot compete on wages and / or ambition so he is probably off-ski. We have been told the training ground, which has been scaled back with a budget, will only in the first instance be pitches and I guess a set of changing rooms, and not available until June 2019. So no new news there. What is important, is that DC is given the money to replace Billy and bring in 3/4 additional players. Only time will tell.

What a load of old crap from the BEP. I genuinely believe any one of us on here could do just as "good" a job, if not better. No bad feelings towards him and he's probably not got a lot to work with, but sorry why even bother?! Ridiculous!

There is no chance Bodin is here next season, he wants a move to the Championship and is in a prime position to get it.
Cash in and spend the money on a replacement in January...

Not gonna lie though I got excited when I seen "Billy Bodin pens contract.." But yeah he won't still be here and I won't blame him at all for leaving. His ability and ambition is way ahead of where we are currently at as a club.

Just Accrington and Barnet now in the Stadium league tables below us. I would argue that although Barnet's is smaller it's way better than ours.

Look what AFC Wimbledon have achieved in 15 years. As a point of reference they have formed, reached our level in the football pyramid and now got a new 11,000 stadium (rising to 20,000) all in the time *since* the last Bristol derby in the league. If that doesn't make you realise how we have been and continue to go nowhere I don't know what will. Strewth.
