The training ground is going ahead. There is just a lot to discuss at the moment with the project management team. How do you know that? Or is a secret? Wael said it to Geoff Twentyman. Wael is straight up.

This was posted on face book over the weekend Does anybody have any insight on a company Filton avenue developments limited? was browsing companies house and this one is one of several companies that waq is a director of. this one on the 22nd December last year Bristol ro vers 1883 limited became the person with significant control Assuming this is true the answer is simple. Bristol Rovers 1883 ltd is a football team company The Colony is a property company. Bristol Stadium ltd is a property company Filton Ave Developments is a property company arranging to build a nice new stadium. Dwayne Sports is a holding company of all of the above. Watch out Lansdown we're on the catch up just hope we don't lose £50m and take 10 years before we get it right.

I think that unless there is a stadium to generate money it seems silly to create more overheads to pay for. However as the land is now owned by the club and the club is spending money out to other companies to use their facilities. It would make sense to develop the Colony . The thing to get right at the start is How to create things today that don't need destroying in a few years time to advance the facilities. So I would look to make the building geared towards the first team squad with good quality facilities for them. The other levels of the club can use these things when they are available. I would then look to have temporary buildings on the site for the youth set up (short term) With the aim to build a new building eventually to house them.
The same applies to the pitches develop the bare minimum needed at as high a level as possible....and then get by on any extras needed until further advancement of pitches can be afforded.
So the plans need to have fantastic stuff on one part and the other areas left unused for now (but kept tidy)
