Encouraging to see we can manage without Billy....cos he sure didn't do much today. Why oh why at Rovers - when a player is rumoured to be leaving do OUR supporters start slagging them off . Bodin wasn't man of the match but again he was the player causing their backline the most problems - first and second half !! Compare what he did to Nichols or Gaffney ? think about it before you type away ! Just to remind people apart from our 2 goals he had 3 shots on target (probably all we had), numerous ones blocked ( a few last ditch) great hold up play and lots of clever balls in behind their backline). Agree with this although I'd also add why do some of our fans continually have to find a scapegoat. Admittedly Nichols hasn't pulled up any trees but he was far from poor today, he wasn't outstanding by any means but give him some credit he's played his part in a good win.

Other clubs will probably table bids for Ellis, Billy, Lockyer & Sercombe, l cannot see D.C. letting them go until the summer; if he does then IMO we are as good as relegated

i didnt think Bodin was that good today. Had a couple of chances to get shots away but took too many touches imo Sums up his season. 10 goals and 4 assists.

Sorry Mark,I was being a bit mischievous. But be honest,he was somewhat ineffective. OK,probably double-marked,but he'll have to cope with that. Sorry, but I felt he gave somewhat less than he could have done.

Imagine what he would be like in a better team. Id be surprised if someone like Bolton didnt go in for him, absolutely ripped them to pieces last season.

The three in question are Bodin- Preston North End Lockyer -Cardiff Gaffney -Motherwell. Slightly mystified why Cardiff would want a player they released & who is struggling at the bottom end if L1. But I'm sure you know better than I.

Sorry, but I felt he gave somewhat less than he could have done. Disagree. Bodin is linked to be going and then all of a sudden there is this myth of him not trying hard enough! It's bollocks and disrespectful. It looked obvious to me that Pompey were trying to mark him out the game as always had 2 or 3 players round hum. That is hard for any player to deal with especially a team as organised as Pompey. The truth is he won't have that in the championship as he will be just another player instead of a star player.

Henbury you are joking surely ? Encouraging to see we can manage without Billy....cos he sure didn't do much today. Played in the middle he’s never done anything. I think playing him out of position is more the reason for his poor by his standards performance than anything. Same last home game. We’ve tried it a few times over the years , in the middle, on the left , behind the front two, it’s never worked.

To be honest I’m surprised that more haven’t complained on here about it. Billy’s only ever been a threat for us when played on the right. It’s almost as if he’s been played out of position to put the scouts off. Not saying I think that but I can’t for the life of me think why we would play our best player out of position. I don’t think he’s gone missing and I think the bloke was trying his hardest today but he’s best cutting in from the right and seemed to play everywhere except there today. He certainly wasn’t bad just not where he should be.

Think the C5 editor is a BB fan but highlights certainly show him in a good light today, and he did look most likely Rovers player to score until we scored!

Can only see the 3 players being Bodin, Lockyer and Harrison Outsider bet is Gaffney ....but agree the 3 you mention most likely must say i'd be tempted if the Lockyer bid was over £500k as the lad is not improving as expected. I would've agreed with you about Lockyer a month or so ago, but he's been playing a lot better recently, and I thought he was almost as good as Broadbent today.

Nicholls will only come to the fore if we sign the replacement we should have brought in when Lambert went, and have failed to since. Namely a big strong tall striker whom he can feed off, just like he did at Posh.
Still waiting Dinsdale
