Just spoke with an Aldershot watching mate of mine who will be gutted if he signs for us. He recons he is Shots best player, always plays with a smile on his face, will become a fan favorite, is skillful, scores goals and his best position is just of a big striker (number 10) (Nichols preferred position) or just behind the strikers

Why would anybody not want Hylton? Would be a real waitrose signing- which is exactly why it won't happen. Bit underwhelmed we are signing a player two levels below our own when we need someone a bit more proven, fingers crossed he will turn out to be a shrewd buy. FFS we haven’t even signed him yet and your writing him off!

He's versatile, so gives us options.

Maybe a bit self-depreciating but when he scored that worldy with his right against Tranmere in the play-offs he said afterwards that he swung his foot and it could have gone anywhere!

Their fans are genuinely saddened/angry by him potentially leaving them. I know it's only a small conference club but when was the last time we signed a clubs best player?

Haha, like you say...self-depreciating perhaps. For a naturally left footed player he has scored a few with his right foot. Given time and patience I think he'll do well and become a fans favourite.

Can confirm he is at the stadium. What's your sauce? A friend is there on business and i asked them to look out for him and sent a picture. They confirmed he was there having his picture taken. The deal has clearly been done. They don't know about football at all so they didn't understand why there was any fuss about it.

But Sercombe was very highly rated at Exeter City beforehand, and a consistent player at Oxford with an eye for goal from outside the box would surely be up there with their top players.

Menayese is admittedly a little harder to work out, but I'd be surprised if Partington and Broadbent weren't considered Eastleigh and Hayes and Yeading's best players. Both sides were gutted to lose them.
