Sort of player you like playing for you due to his aggressive nature but not against. Can't see us signing him. Mensah seems likely though. f**k Hylton we don’t want him, he’s a nasty peice of work! I would sooner sign Tommy Travelodge, as we have no chance of signing Jack Marriott. Ribtickling

How is that writing him off?! I said I was underwhelmed, strewth! If he was a replacement for Moore then that makes a lot more sense however due to his playing style of cutting in and shooting he appears to be Bodin's replacement. We didn't win a game when Bodin was injured so that is a lot of responsibility distributed round the rest of the team and this guy is going to need to be up to it from day one- we simply can't afford another Nichols-esque signing. Why are you underwhelmed? He looks like a good signing to me, who were you expecting us to sign Messi? It would be nice to see a marquee signing of sorts, like Sercombe was. A highly rated player from this level (might be asking a bit much) or the one below. We haven't been up to much this season add losing Bodin to that and it means we aren't looking for just a small percentage improvement on what we already have. We need a player in this window who is less of a gamble than a conference player. Maybe there is more to come, I hope so, it will be a disappointment if we fail to get more league experience in though. Having said all that I agree that for a conference level player he does seem to be a good acquisition going by reports so if nothing else he seems a good prospect for the future. Investing in prospects given our precarious league position might not work so well in the short term though, that is my worry.

Looks a very promising signing, this is exactly the sort of signing I was hoping for, but doubtful we'd have a chance seeing as Posh hoover up most of the best non-league talent. Great interview as well. Welcome to the Gas Bernie! Good point, peterborough do alright in terms of bringing on conference players so maybe it isn't *that* much of a step up...

"The Gaffer at Aldershot told me he played here a few years ago, well a very long time ago but he said it was unreal here, the fans, the atmosphere" Waddock is a gashead!!! Excellent interview by the way, comes across very well, genuine and grounded. I have to say that he sounds great. He certainly gives a very good interview and he plays on the wing too, at last some exciting wing play, let's hope he can progress his career here with us. Welcome to Bristol rovers Bernard. UTG

I tend to agree, would be nice but if DC and just bring the additional 3 permanent players i would be satisfied.

Don't want to dampen anybody's day he looks a great player but he needs the service as well , so as long as we put that right we could be on yo a winner here, And I am not being negative or knocking anyone this is a good start

But he not a replacement for Bodin. feel the bern will be playing left side not right. If you listen to D.C. he states the player who turned Rovers down last night was to be Bodins replacement.
He's played 50+ games from the right and about 15 from the left. A lot of his goals and assists have been from the right, cutting inside onto his left foot. See here at 39 seconds I don't doubt it and will no doubt play on the right at times (maybe Saturday ? ) but he wasn't D.C.'s intended replacement .He was the missing left sided player that was needed. The Bodin replacement turned the club down last night....so any guesses as to who that was ?

Might create chances for Nichols to come good, quite excited by the signing.

Did talk about having inexperienced untried players ,non league players and players that have plied their trade at a higher level but are still young
It wasn't 100% clear if he was talking about the squad in general or the signings he was after.
I will take it as the later.
so that's the non league player ticked. a youngster from another clubs youth set up perhaps ? and a youngish championship fringe player or two who has maybe already dropped down ? Player from another club at this level (Sercombe style)

In other news, Cameron Brannagan looks a good signing for them.

I don't believe that, but a bargain if true, whether out of contract at the end of season or not. really ?? I think you like adding 0s onto players value sometimes
