I'm still distracted by the training ground news Training ground not going to happen for at least a couple of years. I am more concerned about the here and now and with staying in division 1

DC latest interview certainly easier to listen to than ones recently. The player brought into today seems to be fairly rated and at 23 he still has lots to prove and make a name for himself. Best of luck to him. Hopefully DC can bring in 3 more permanent that he wants. I am glad this is our approach and want, we can't keep relying on loans to temporarily bail us out the sh** if we want to progress. Thankfully DC recognises we need to bring a core of our own players, bring them together and build that way. Convincing the owners to back him seems to have been the main issue and, hopefully, he's done that, which suggests they are prepared to support him and also not about to throw in the towel. Not sure how anybody can not feel a bit more positive at present, unless they've HA against the owners or just like to moan.

Although i am happy to see a new face at the club i am reserving my judgement regarding if board are seriously backing DC,lets see if we get anymore in by end of transfer window, we have got our poundland signing lets see if we can upgrade to a coupe of Marks and Sparks or J Lewis signings, lets not forget our two best players have left the club in the last year UTG !

I noticed nobody has mentioned DC shopping at Harrods for a blue chip signing.

We've signed a (hopefully) good prospect from the National League and all is well with the world. We really do get what we deserve don't we. A wonder that Aldershot were prepared to end his contract free and for nothing though isn't it? Y'know, since we have no money to pay the fencers, the caterers, the police and the players. Bet it was busy round yours on New Years wasn't it? The Americans, The Chinese and a White Knight. Were Mike Turl and Kev invited? You could've had an 80s night and called it The Corridors of T'Pau-er.

We're quick to moan so just wanted to say a quick well done to the board and DC for getting things tied up over the past few days. It is the big lift that was needed after Billy Bodin leaving with Tom Broadbent signing a new deal, Tom Lockyer signing a new deal and Bernard Mensah looking a promising signing. Maybe we are learning from our mistakes as regards to tieing up our valuable players ASAP. So credit where credit is due. I think the Wigan game being called off has actually helped us by buying some time to sort ourselves out. hmm. Perhaps this needs to go up once 4 players have been signed in the window - who are desperately needed ( to maintain mid table !). Of course good that those 2 players are staying but wouldn't we expect them to, they've not been pulling up trees to be snapped up by other clubs ?

We can't tell also whether we were paying a fee for the experienced player that pulled out last minute.
It's not to paint a picture that everything is perfect, but given the constant stream of negativity a little bit of credit and respect that the club are trying to do business wouldn't do those spraying constant negativity any harm

He had only 6 months left on his contract, £100K would have been decent money for somebody with 18+ months till left on his contract.

I know how long he had on his contract it just dosnt make sense for a team to sell a leading player if your 2nd in the league for less than £100k. Obviously im offering an opinion as the fee is undisclosed. Im just wondering what sort of players people are expecting us to bring in when we clearly cant pay large salaries especially as were following FFP rules?

If he had 18 months left on his contract then he would of cost considerably more. Good Business.
