With all the chat about new signings, its got me thinking , are there any stars of the future bubbling under in our development/under 23 sides who you think are worth 'blooding 'this season? I,m talking about ,say, last ten games of season when we are comfortable with our position, so they will start next season straining at the leach? so come on you dedicated bunch who watch them regularly, who is ready to become our stars of the future? We all know about Rollin , who will def make it ,any more out there?

Will be very interesting to see how Rhys Kavanagh does at bath city. Impressed with what I’ve seen of the young striker so far. The young lad haregreaves seems another bright prospect also.

When and if we get 52 points then I agree we need to give a few of the development squad some game time. Still 20 points to win before we need to think about this question.

Alexis Andre for me. I thought he was very impressive when Slocombe was sent off and he was thrown on with 30 mins to go against Walsall. He kept us in the game and dealt with pressure extremely well that day. Looking forward to seeing more of him in the future.

It's amazing how quickly things can be forgotten, but that was a class moment.... Thanks for the reminder....

Does Ryan Broom count? Feels like he's been on the edge of the squad for about 2 seasons now and would be good to see if he can actually make the grade.

Kenan Dunwald has been very impressive for the developement side this season. At 22 and with our shortages out wide currently I imagine we'll see more of him this season.

I watched him at bath city a few times, cant fault the effort but things didnt really seem to click and he was released, maybe a change of position could help him, but didnt look a natural goal poacher.

According to our website he's just turned 117 apparently. He looks pretty good for his age to be fair! www.bristolrovers.co.uk/teams/first-team/midfielder/kenan-dunnwald/

Theres never really a chance to try players out for its own sake in the modern game because your always either in with a chance of the play-offs or still at risk of getting relegated. The much maligned checkatrade trophy was used to give broom, russe, hargreaves and dunwald 1st team game time and of course menayese and andre have featured in the league. Ive watched 2 development games at yate town and watched a couple of reserve league games at cribbs last season and luke russe and cameron hargreaves have always looked decent and very combative.

D.C. will be wanting to beat last years league position and/or points tally. So until this is not possible I cant see him fielding weakened teams. So that's another 34 points...10 wins 4 draws 6 defeats away. or climbing 5 or 6 places in the league.
