Rules at all football league grounds are; if you are an away fan in the home ends and you make it known then you will be ejected. Simple enough for humans to understand I would have thought. As these were in the ‘ hospitality’ area seats surely away supporters have been in these seats before? But just politely clapped when there team scored so no dramas?

It's nothing to do with how mature anyone is.
If you go mental in goal celebration/sing your own songs/berate home players etc it shows a lack of respect and you can expect a 'word' to be said. Or possibly something stronger.
That's just common sense rules of anyone whom is semi streetwise watching league football. Home fans can usually do without that.
One of the positive aspects of watching us in our year of gloom outside the leagues was amount of times we weren't segregated away and there was literally zero incidents involving rival fans. I found that a charm of non league football that doesn't translate when you commute up the tables..

It happens in non league so why shouldn't it happen further up the pyramid? You can't tell me emotions are higher or that as Rovers fans we care more about our club than, say, Alfreton fans care about theirs. It'll probably never happen, but we really ought to be able to stand/sit next to fans celebrating the oppositions goal without turning into aggressive idiots ourselves, which is exactly what happened yesterday.

I completely agree with you. We're all the same at the end of the day, and I happily chat to opposition fans outside the ground before and after a match, so why not inside it? However, a pathetic minority (not saying that about the situation yesterday) have over the years meant that this shouldn't be freely allowed, due to security concerns. It's a sad state of affairs, but segregation is regrettably the sensible option for our football league.

I had a bit of banter with a Bradford fan in the pub before the game , he said it was the mildest weather he’d seen all year I told him it was grim up north he called me a southern softy all good fun ,most supporters are nice people like most peope in society are nice people. I do however agree with segregation not only for fans safety but because it improves the atmosphere at football and id rather stand with Gasheads than opposition fans once the Match starts.

Personally in think that if fans of the away team buy tickets for the home sections then they do so at their own risk , if they decide to pipe up then it’s more than likely they will receive a slap and thus having theirselves to blame . Football is an emotional game and emotions run high. Wonder how these same Bradford fans would’ve reacted if the shoe was on the other foot?

The people causing problems in the west stand yesterday were the Bradford City coach drivers.
There were a number of complimentary tickets not used by the Bradford City directors, and our old pal Boycie got hold of them and dished them out without permission. Needless to say, he got a good bollocking from our SLO. And quite rightly. What an idiot dishing them out like that.
Beats me why he is still allowed to hang around in the directors box.

Easy really, if you go in the home areas just keep your mouth shut and dont draw attention, ive done it at west ham, forest and spurs, won all three but lived to tell the tale.
