We appreciate that many supporters will be disappointed to have missed out on purchasing tickets for our away game against Oxford United on 10th February.
To have sold 1,800 tickets for the game is amazing and whilst we would like to be in a position to have sold more, we have been advised that Oxford will not be increasing our allocation.
We have also been advised that there will be no bars open inside the Kassam Stadium for away fans, either before, during, or after the game.
Please do not travel to the game unless you have a ticket, and for those of you who are travelling, please remember that alcohol will not be available inside the ground.

Let’s give em a good stuffing now.

That stand could accommodate another 1,000 easily. All they would have to do is move that stupid netting and the stewards across a few more rows of seats. It wouldn't impact on home support numbers, they never fill the ground.
No, this smacks of Thames Valley Police belt and braces, just in case policing. I've no doubt they've been in touch with OUFC and told them how many away fans, home tickets to database fans only and strictly no alcohol on sale to away fans. What club would voluntarily have a dry away end and therefore lose several thousand pounds profit?
We should be wary of the Police, It will be operation total overkill and they will be itching to arrest as many away fans as possible to justify the stupid level of resources they will deploy. Nicking football fans is a piece of water, like shooting fish in a barrel. It makes their figures look good, and as we ought to know with the Police, what gets measured gets done.

Thames Valley Police OUT, DC in. They don’t want us outsinging the home fans as usual, but that will still happen with 1800 anyway. Foxtrot- Oscar Oxford!

Always amazes me that no matter what type of season we're having, or the run of bad games we have, what the weather's doing, the away support is just outstanding. Mind you, home support is fantastic as well. Disagree on our home support. Don't think it is anything to write home about for the size of our city. Our away support compared to our home is superb though.

Can you imagine trying to explain this to an accountant or better still an American accountant - - - "so we could get considerably more gate money but we choose not to, and we could make easy money on alcohol in the ground but we choose not to and we could make more in ground food sales if we sold alcohol instead outside outlets will benefit" hmmmm

All OUFC get is the ticket price plus a pittance. As for the crowd that is a TVP issue and the last few matches explain why they take that stance.

So Kassam is still profiting at the club's expense and the police are just playing into his hands too. Nice!

£5 to watch the telly and £3.60 a pint no thanks Sounds reasonable to me? Cheaper than traveling to Oxford and paying to get in. And sharing those special moments with friendly gaschat members.😂
