So, if it is going to take 10 years to get to the championship complete with a new ground I will be 75, if I am still here, and it will be 60 years of waiting. Why didn't I listen to my Dad?

They have been in post for two years. Was the collapse of the uwe such a shock that they had no time to work on plan B just in case? We will still be here saying the same things in 3 years time and people will still be making excuses for them. I get people want to be all happy and believe that these are the best owners ever and all that but given what we have seen so far it is nothing but sheer faith that they will achieve anything of note in terms of giving this club a quality infrastructure. Quality infrastructure like employing over 10 backroom staff to make sure the squad, youth, club are run better? Like buying and developing a new Training facility? Like moving the club shop into the 21st Century? How's OTIB these days? You mean a club shop in a potakabin in the car park. That's soooooooooo 1980's everywhere else

If you are 65 now then you will remember when Rovers were in what is now called 'The Championship' - it was called Div 2 then

I can't see the ALQ's spending £100K+ on a purpose built new building to then knock it down if we ever rebuild the Mem so they'll have to either convert something already built, or bring in another portakabin.

If it is sited well, it will either be incorporated into a stand structure later on or be a stand alone building unaffected from any proposed ground works. I would still expect some form of planning permission though so it would be nice if it can be done quickly or if there is a way of not needing it in the first place.

Wasn't it supppsed to be open by now?

My understanding was they proposed to move the shop next door where the bar is under the stand but this has been shelved as the footprint of the room is hardly any bigger than the current shop. Not sure what they are planning to do now?

Not sure what they are planning to do now? what would have happened to the current shop space?
If they were getting rid of that bar, surely they could just open up the whole area to be a shop and retain the existing space?
The problem of accessibility would still be an issue on a match day though

No. I've just read a few of your previous posts, wow!! Think Baggins has you sussed. As I said on the other thread it is a bit pathetic for someone to be classed as a City supporter or told to go and support City just for viewing Rovers ownership from a critical angle. It is a public forum and people's views should be debated not shut down through shaming. But y'know, that is football fans for you I guess: "hurr durr chuff of and suport sity" etc.

Nearly all of your negativity is apparently motivated by how well the sh1t are doing at the moment. You freely admit that yourself. The bottom line is your issue isn't really with Rovers at all but with City. There's a simple solution to that.
