According to Darren Ferguson- well what more would you expect from him! 51-49% in their favour on possession and we had quite a few more shots than them ..oh and just a small point we outscored them 3 goals to 1 which is all that really matters. Like father like son...no sorry Darren but your father was a Manager not a spoilt brat.

But let’s face it even Fergie could be a spoilt brat at times with his “fergie time”, his refusal to talk to the BBC for about 6/7 years and his rants at referees. He just got away with it more because he was manager at Man U and everyone was afraid that if they upset him they would pay for it. Let’s face it who cares if the Doncaster manager refuses to talk to you, who would notice? But if the manager of Man U (or any of the big clubs) throws his toys out of the pram it’s big news and they have enormous influence in the game. If fergie threw a wobbly then he would get all his acolytes, Allardice, Moyes (at the time), and others to react for him. Big Fergie, Little Fergie only difference is the size of the clubs they manage. UTG!

I'm sure all the Donny faithful went in to work this morning with a smile on their face knowing their boys may of lost, be at least they passed the opposition off the park.

He is a bad match day manager.
Doesn’t watch the game any different to the most passionate fan- yelling and screaming is all he brings to 90 mins during the match. Granted he’s had success but that’s down to recruitment and preparation.
I wouldn’t take 1 iota.

We spent a lot of time camped in front of our own boxed letting them pass it from side to side then letting them get off long shots, it wasn’t the best performance from us... but we scored the goals that they didn’t.. so f*ck it

Fergie junior would be better to do his taking on the pitch!
So glad that in DC we have someone with a grown up attitude who rarely gets drawn into the play ground tactics of managers like him and Uwe Rosler.

Brilliant, that 2% more of possession obviously went a long way then!

Passes don’t win matches Goals do. When Leicester won the league they had the lowest pass completion rate in the competition.

Perhaps if they spent less time passing the ball to each other they may have had more shots on goal. What a prat Fergie junior is ,let’s hope if Darell leaves ( hope he doesn’t) no one mentions his name as a replacement.

The reason why they had 1% more passing or possession is because they used wingers! We won the game tactically, four different formations and more shots on target. UTG

We spent a lot of time camped in front of our own boxed letting them pass it from side to side then letting them get off long shots, it wasn’t the best performance from us... but we scored the goals that they didn’t.. so f*ck it Exactly this. Towards the end of the match My mate was getting all anxious. "Look, we can't get the ball off them" as it passed from side to side 10 yards outside our penalty box. "Good" I said. "As long as we keep them out there I don't mind if they keep it for the rest of the game" Cue Ellis picking up a ball from Gaffers and bursting through with an unstoppable run before burying it in the net. What I could see from the far end was that we seemed to have 2 banks of 4 behind the ball, one of our players would move towards the ball, their player would pass sideways, our player would retreat back to his position and another would advance towards the ball, they would pass sideways to another player, ours would retreat, etc etc. So Daddy's boy, f uck off with your stupid comments. You ain't fooling anyone here, and if your own fans are taken in by such bollox they're as stupid as you.

It was very reminiscent of our style of play in the conference for me, especially in the first half of a lot of conference games.. it can be frustrating to watch at the time but when you leave with 3 points... what more can you ask for?? I don’t think we did it as competently against Doncaster as we have in the past and I was very nervy at 2-1 tbh but the style itself when we do it well suits me fine for an away performance
