I would have said 28. That he’s even older shows it even more and the fact that he’s probably the fittest one there. UTG!

Sometimes think SS is living the dream. Probably thought his chance of a league career had gone and then signed for us in non league, became a bit of a legend even in such short a time and has had three good seasons in the league. Often written off by some but a player who has really taken on each challenge as it comes and made lots of people eat their words. Epitomises what Rovers are all about imo. He would have loved evening matches at Eastville! UTG! He is (living the dream) Quiz for everyone Take a guess how old Sincs is (without looking at Wikipedia 😁) He runs around like an 18 year old

You all did better than expected. He's 30. League debut at 27. Fairy story really. I love him. In all honesty I think of him and DC when I need inspiration in life: - an orphan raised by his grandmother who had a moderate career as a player gets his first crack at league football management and looks to have f**ked it up. Most would disappear and never work in football again. Not this guy. Instead he puts the club back to a ten year high league finish within 3 seasons. - SS even better. He'd given up on football altogether and was working as a personal trainer. Got his chance and just worked his socks off when he did. Even when he was injured and it would have been fair enough for the manager to say cheerio he turned up for work just to try and be a positive influence on the other guys. Absolute Disney movie script.

Just realised SS has the same birthday as me too. Legend.
I really hope that when the day comes and SS decides to hang up his boots (he'll probably be 52 by that point) that he'll sign on as a coach for us. Fitness coach would be ideal

Every team needs a Nobby Stiles / Brian Godfrey in their team. Brian godfrey was an attacking midfield player and creative footballer who scored a lot of goals in his career, imo he wasnt a nobby stiles/sturt sinclair type player. Frankie prince was that type of player from the same era.

From memory it was the feature length interview with 20man on having a gas at the start of last (16/17) season.
