I'm sure FFP doesn't actually apply to anyone lower than the championship? It may not be called FFP, but you're only allowed to have a wage budget that is a certain % of your revenue. That's in all 4 divisions Clubs in the League 1 and League 2 operate within a Spending Constraint framework termed Salary Cost Management Protocol (SMCP). SCMP limits spending on player wages to a percentage of club Turnover. In League 1 clubs can spend a maximum of 60% of their turnover on wages - in League 2, the limit is 55%. There are no restrictions (in themselves) on the amount a club can lose or spend on transfer fees. That's what I found, effectively the same thing but we can spend what we want on transfer fees

I suspect this evening a sob story will be put out describing how the club pulled out all the stops but how silly money and moving goalposts prevented any permanent signings. Unless the club are prepared to offer the going rate to close the deals, there's no hope - bit like trying to haggle with a First bus driver over the fare. Hope I'm wrong and at the end of the day it's whoops and high-5s all round! I think Nicholls has already used that excuse

Sadly i totally agree. There is clearly absolutely zero investment coming from the AQ's, not on the playing side anwyay. The whole "FFP regulations" is utter bullshat too. Just a smokescreen to mask the fact they dont want to put a penny in. Lets remember what we spent in the summer on Nichols and Sercombe. Lets also remember DC said he kept some of his budget for January.

Passed the Mem earlier - lots of expensive 'agent's type' cars in the car-park - though they could be Hamer's collection awaiting mobile carwash?1 I was down there earlier getting some tickets for Saturday, did you see a white insignia well that's mine I'm afraid so don't get to excited Thanks Kruger, I had assumed it was a prem agent, so thats a relief!

Glenn Tamplin backed Billericay set to sign someone who played 38 games for Millwall last season. Surely that's got to be Tony Craig? Billericay a lot closer to home for Craig too. If Billericay have beaten us to a signing

Wikipedia says Tony Craig played 43 times but that might include substitute appearances? Edit: Just had a look at this and it's probably Ben Thompson. www.soccerbase.com/teams/team.sd?team_id=1699&teamTabs=stats

A couple of Millwall fans on Twitter tweeting to say Craig has signed for Billericay. What a sad state of affairs!

According to Soccerbase, Tony Craig played 57 times in all competitions, Morrison played 50 games. The only two close are Ben Thompson (47) Mahlon Romeo (40) and Jed Wallace (34)

Everyone's desperate for some action at the Mem. I just got filmed as I drove into the carpark, and you could see the disappointment on the film crew's faces when they realised it was just some fat fifty-year-old fan.

Yeah, pretty much the money from Taylor... might have been a £100k on top, but big deal. Peanuts. Club record signing wasn't it?
