I looked up on a Portsmouth twitter site last night, the majority of Portsmouth fans were disappointed to see Bennett leave , some even suggested Jacket should be sacked for letting him go without a fee. Appears to be a quick skilful player let down a bit by his end product. So looks like Dc and Stewart may have to do a bit of work on him but he could be a good signing in the long term. Appears DC didn't get much of the Boden money to bring in new players , no coincidence that we signed a contract with a company to manage The Colony when the owners new money was coming in from the Boden sale, so we know where most of that money went to!. Well there was enough money to make a bid that was accepted by Yeovile for Otis Khan and I guess that was a six figure amount. I wasn't going to post anything but the last 36 hours has really been a eye opener: Criticism of the Owners who saved us from Administration. Flak for DC that he lied to us and doesn't know what he's doing. Opinion presented as fact ie: DC wasn't given any of the BB money and now to cap it all Bennett almost written off before he's pulled on a shirt and Craig to old to slow!!!. Can we not just cool it a bit, DC wanted experience he's got that, we didn't have to pay a fee, great business from my view point, he wanted 3/4 in he's got that and we have a player who looks to have bags of potential. Just because we don't know all the minutae it doesn't mean there's a conspiracy or were being shafted, frankly it's the way businesses are run and our club is a business.

Apparently Kyle was the player to turn us down at the last minute. ‘Football politic’ whatever that means. Also been confirmed we had a bid accepted for Otis Khan, but he decided to stay at Yeovile Do you mean earlier in the window? As it would seem he accepted our offer last minute. yes. When mensah signed, dc said someone had pulled out at the last minute. Turns out it was kyle bennet

Damn right. As fans we want those with the power at the club to be held to account for everything they do. Maybe that's right but maybe we should apply the same standards to ourselves and what we write on here, some of which has been disgraceful over the past couple of days. DC is busting a gut for this football club and he clearly reads all this stuff, judging by his comments. I advise for his own sanity that he stops.

I think both the signing of Craig and Bennett were a very astute bit of work by DC, especially getting in a player like Bennett who many Portsmouth fans seem to think is worth a fee, I think Doncaster paid about £180,00 for him . Rovers have a lot of players in the squad that until recently have little league 1 experience and these two are just the sort of players we need, even if some Portsmouth fans thought there is room for improvement . I don't know where the club would be now without DC and I am sure he will get the best out of all our recent signings. He is the best manager we have had since Gerry Francis who was the last manager to get us in to the second tear.

I reckon dc spent most of the bodin money in this window. Bennett signed a 3 year deal before the start of this season for portsmouth so by my reasoning he signed a 3 year deal with us and got a signing on fee as well as being in a group of the higher earners at rovers. Craigs similar except its probably an 18 month deal but again he must be on a decent wage relative to our club. Mensah cost us a fee between £75-120k and certainly a 2 year deal. A real show of intent from the owners imo.
