ALL PARTIES?? Yes you sign our best striker for half of what he's worth at a time that makes it impossible to replace him with anyone remotely likely to possess the same quality at the price that sounds like the perfect deal for us let's shake on it quick before you change your mind. Second point ...players that are "surplus" can of course move where they like...the supposed handshake was not about them it was about bidding for each other's high performing stars and unbalancing their squad (and fans). This again is likely only to apply one way anyway. They have shown they move in different circles now. Any player of theirs that would create a similar type of hole in their team would a) command a fee we have no appetite or ability to pay and b) would expect wages completely at odds with our pay structure. We simply aren't fishing in that pond. To be fair we did have Matthews and Akinde from them...but it soon became apparent why they were willing to let them join us! I certainly can't remember City selling or loaning us anyone of any great quality and I doubt that will ever change. Not sure I want it to either! Sorry but we got a fabulous player from them - the late Trevor Jacobs who was a full back in out promotion year. Had the pleasure of working and playing football with Trevor who was a top guy

Didn't Lee also say they'll be able playing in Europe in 5 years time, about 3 years ago?

Didn't Lee also say they'll be able playing in Europe in 5 years time, about 3 years ago? Even after Brexit, the UK will still be in Europe, so he's technically correct 😉

This seasons success for Bristol city works for me. Ultimately it will come down to nothing. They will fade, and fade fast. Little Lee will have earnt himself another season- to prove he’s bang average.
LJ only ends on hilarity.

We shouldn't think that this will always be the case. If AFC Bournemouth, or Swansea or even Huddersfield Town wanted one of 82's best players they would be able to get them. If not now at the end of the season when and if they stay up and the sh** don't go up.
Bristol Rovers have a bigger fan base than all of those clubs and have the potential to do equally as well provided that one day we have owners capable and willing to invest.
Huddersfield have averaged more fans than us since about the 1920's. They won the league title in 1924,1925 and 1926 so maybe even longer?

City fans have made the BBC Midlands news.Seems their supporters were put on a train and not allowed to go to a game at Birmingham which they are claiming infringed their rights so it's going to the European Commission for human rights.Suspect the police had good reason .You couldn't make it up!!!!! I'm normally the first to bash Sh1!heads, but on this occasion I support their cause because WMP are a law unto themselves and need bringing into line. The way they treat football fans is disgraceful and needs to be sorted out. Make no mistake, we are going to get exactly the same sort of treatment from TVP on 10th Feb, so I would advise every supporter to be wary because they'll Nick anyone they can to justify the ridiculous amount of resources they will have committed. I remember in the 2nd leg of the pay-off final against Port Vale, I was one of 3 blokes in a car, one of us was in his 60's, and we were stopped by the Police outside of Stoke and they wouldn't let us go any further until we showed them our match tickets! I still wonder to this day what power they were using, and what would have happened if we had refused.
