One to start for me - can't see DC playing Partington again at full back. So TC at LB - Bola switching to the right.

My worry with dropping Broadbent would be that, IMO, his ability to step into midfield with the ball and pass out from the back really makes us tick going forward.
Against Bradford in particular I spotted a number of occasions when he'd get his head up and thread it into the feet of a midfielder, when in the same position I imagine Lockyer or Sweeney would have hit a long ball which would have most likely come to nothing.
Of course, Broadbent is inexperienced at this level and will make mistakes playing the way he does on a bad day, but on a good day he has the ability to make the team purr IMO.

People seriously suggesting dropping Broadbent for Craig instead of Sweeney?? The form of Broadbent recently has been one of the main reasons for our results improving so much. Broadbent, imo, is a star of the future and having TC will be a massive help in his development

My GUESS.
Is that D.C. may opt for a 4-3-3 formation and go at Shrews from the off . I can only see this weeks new boys starting on the bench as they need to settle in with the squad and viewing most of the game from the bench will acclimatise them.
Smith
Bola Sweeney *Lockyer Brown
Sercombe Clarke Sinclair
Mensah Harrison Nichols
subs: Slocombe , Craig ,Partington , Lines , Bennett , Gaffney ,*Broadbent (if Lockyer plays) or Telford (if Lockyer is injured still)
Not saying this is the best line up but what I guess will be the set up for tomorrows game (and step in the evolution)

Don't think any of us can 2nd guess what team DC will put out. I personally think if everyone is fit, don't change a winning side. Really looking forward to this game, isn't it funny what a couple of signings can do?

Always difficult to predict what DC will do, but of late the team changes seem to have been relatively small in number whilst we've been on our little run.
I'm really struggling to pick out anyone who should lose their place in Midfield or up front for either Bennett and Mensah based on the last 2 games at least anyway.
Ellis - No way, has to be 1st name on the team sheet.
Gaffers - Seems to be developing a nice little partnership with Ellis of late and I would like that to continue, plus he's great at holding the ball up.
Sincs - I really like him up front where he can terrorise the opposition's defence.
Sercs - No way, probably 2nd name on the team sheet for me.
OC - Not quite at his best yet but seems to be improving at the moment and we need that to continue as he's a very important part of the midfield for us if he's on his game.
Lines - I would consider putting Parts in his place as he seems to be good going forward and delivers good crosses, would prefer Parts in midfield than at RB any day of the week.
Broads - As has been said before great at bringing the ball out and has been pretty solid defensively, deserves to keep his place imo.
Locks - If still injured then Craig could fill in, if not then TL will of course be in by default, and to be fair, of late he's been back to his usual solid form which can only be a good thing.
Brown / Bola - I would put Bola at right back and consider dropping Brown for Craig at left back assuming TL is fit.
So I can see Craig starting (possibly - depending on the TL situation) but much as I really want to see them in action i feel that Bennett and Mensah will have to be subs for now given the way the rest of the team have performed of late.
It's bloody great to have this problem though isn't it!
UTG!

Start Craig at LB, don't have much faith in Bola and Brown. Think he'll be the only one. Bennett if he hits his straps will at some point replace Lines or Clarke. If DC wants only one up top then Bennett might come in for Gaffers. ImMensah didn't look that impressive in his cameo last time - looked lost. Can't see him starting for a while just the odd sub appearance.\
Who's not going to make the bench (thinking here if Leads is back in squad too) - Moore and Brown might not be one of the 7 !?

This is a bloody good question. I would say none. Only because we played well and you shouldnt change a winning team. However, I think TC will be in as Locks may then be able to get a longer rest and reduce the chance of his injury re-occuring. Who he drops out is anyones guess - I would guess Broadbent becuase however well he is playing he is still young and inexperienced and DC seems to have managed him well this year by giving him game time in spells. BM and KB will, i'm sure get a run out. but i'm propably wrong as DC is impossible to predict (except the striker subs on 60ish minutes.) :-) I thought (reports) we didn't play well at Donnie but got the result ? It does happen sometimes.

It's bloody great to have this problem though isn't it! UTG! Based solely on last weeks game I think the most droppable players would be the fullbacks as they were the weakest. I’m not normally a massive Lines fan but thought he was one of the best players on the pitch last week so can’t drop him based on that. My only worry about last week is that we were exploited down the wings due to our lack of wingers, which may explain why the fullbacks looked weak. I think had Doncaster taken their chances, a few people’s opinions on some of the players’ performances may have been different. Although it was a great win and we did only concede 1 goal, it could’ve and probably should’ve been 3 or 4 and I don’t think we were that solid defensively.

Gaffney scored last week and set EH up for his goal why would you consider dropping him for Nichols. As far as Lines if DC no longer thought he was good enough I'm sure a new CM would have been brought in instead of BM or KB or even TC.

Yeah I do know what you're saying about Lines, I actually think he's been doing quite a good job in his new role at the base of a diamond (even seen him make some decent tackles lately!) but I've also been impressed with Parts when he's played in front of the back four, he's got great crossing ability and he's a more defensively minded player imo so I would like to fit him in the starting 11 ideally. As I said - nice problem to have this isn't it!

As I said not saying its the best line up and is a guess and not even what I would choose but what I think "may" occur. D.C. said 4-4-2 only happens in black and white footage on old tv reels and appeared a bit fed up of the 442 obsession . So having 2 new wide players you might guess he would go for 433 or maybe 451 to allow the use of his new players.

My opinion is, having went to Donny last week, I thought there midfield at times, totally passed there way around us. We still haven't signed a midfielder, who really breaks things up. So it's hard to change the side that won last week. It's nice that we have brought two players in, who like to beat players. I'd put TC left back, only because I don't think neither player has nailed that spot down. .....not Stuart Sinclair ?

I wonder if dc has it in mind to play craig at left-back or centre-back? Looking forward to tomorrows match for so many reasons.
