This time next week we might have 80 percent of the voters on the bus (metaphorically - you can use any transport that is convenient). It does seem strange that nearly 20 percent are never going to get on the bus. I'm sure that in a few games time this figure will go down as they see the excitement generated by being on the bus. The journey might well be as exciting as the actual destination. We keep on winning and more and more join the majority. Exciting times!

I'm on the potential play off team bus. There are still a few vital questions before we get ahead of ourselves, however. A) Away form - one win does not a good away form make. We've slipped up against some of the smaller clubs away from home, lets see how we do against Southport. B) Goalscoring - everyone is chipping in with goals at the moment, but you feel that at some point of the season, we really need one of the strikers to take the mantle and go on a big scoring run. We have good strikers but which one is going to hit 20 a season and come up with goals when the chips are down C) Injuries - so far so good, we've not had someone down for a prolonged amount of time. But two injuries in defence and we could be back to having McChrystal in or something along those lines. Center midfield also could be a slight worry. D) Loanees - Martin and Cunnington have proved crucial so far, but it isn't out of the realms of possibility Luton or Cambridge have them back if they impress further. Also, Trotman is on a short term deal as far as im aware, we need to work on getting him to the end of the season at least. I agree with almost all of this, but I don't understand why so many have written off McChrystal. Yes, he had a dip in form but he's a seasoned pro who looked very good for long periods of last season. Surely at the very least, this guy can be a good squad player for us this season?

Yes I definitely agree, but his confidence looked pretty shot last time I saw him. His time out of the spotlight might do him some good.

Think I'm going to wait until the next two games have been played before getting carried away.
Games like Southport and Eastleigh are games in which we have struggled so far, we have turned a corner since Braintree so it'll be interesting to see how we do in those games. There should be a relatively large Gas contingent for the latter game, but it'll still be tough.
Before yesterday I said 7 points from the next 3 games and I'll start to believe we have a chance. That's as far as I'm willing to commit, but that still stands if we get a win and a draw next Saturday and Tuesday.
October is a month we can really take advantage of, three home games and a winnable game at Aldershot. Just hoping we don't struggle in the remaining September games.

If we're top five come Christmas, I'll be on. Yeh we've basically won one game away so despite our four wins in a row our away form is still sh**e. If we were to get in the play offs then we need to start winning a few away games. If w're to finish top then we need to win pretty much all of them.

Promotions are like buses, nothing for ages then three come along at once.

Promotions are like buses, nothing for ages then three come along at once. We will need more than three. The ground breaking bus may well need to be a bendy bus. Only 120 seats available. Is anyone else in? Why are you waiting?

I wish I was on the bus but it's so early in the season. We haven't had a good season in so long I'm nervous about getting excited so early on. If we're still up here deep into the winter period I will be on board.

Never too early to jump on. A bunch of enthusiastic, forward thinking Gasheads can't all be wrong.

Like the team the bus has been repaired with many new parts. I doubt the team will crash like last year. The bus is ready. The run we are on now is building the confidence. Confident enough not to need any fire extinguishers!
Win on Tuesday and surely everyone will be up for aiming at the ground breaking goal of automatic promotion. We can be upbeat, forward looking and expecting the best from this club of ours.
I doubt we will need fire extinguishers. We are more likely to need flares to celebrate our automatic promotion. It's a target that many think we should aim at. The flares are in the boot waiting to be let off.
