Reassuring no mention of Ed Ware.

I haven't watched the interview yet, but from skimming the thread I gather there's a hint of positivity because Wael made a rare appearance more so than any actual progress to report.
Perhaps if everyone put £1 in a kitty in every time the words 'evolution' or 'patience' were spouted, we'd have ourselves a top 6 budget!

It would have been good if KB had sneaked in the question " If Rovers by chance made the playoffs and won them and as such gained promotion. Will the club be able to fulfil the expectation by the football league that the stadium be all seater within three years " Other than that ,it was affirmation of previous answers and so consistency . Very respectful when asked about the clubs financial position before they took over . Its a long journey and one they are looking forward to. We want to take the club places. If we have patience we will see things improve over the years at the club. I feel that things will appear to move very slowly for a year then things will speed up dramatically for a few years. In five years time D.C. will be signing a contract extention at Rovers at the clubs up and running training ground. Before leading the team in a practice session in preparation for that Saturdays championship home match at the newly opened Al Qadi stadium. Next time you get some get me a gram of that too mate. 😂 I can see he has caught the Edge of Greatness bug from me and i'm happy to pass it around to everybody

Worth watching, if only because words only make up a small percentage of communication, most is done with body language and the balance is tone of voice. In terms of news, he did say that there are plans b,c,d which is of course meaningless in themselves but it is the closest we have to them reviewing different options. He also confirmed that there are many parties involved and making them public now could undermine sensitive negotiations. All in all, as a fan I was disappointed not to hear an all systems go announcement, but as a pragmatist I found it quietly reassuring. Something for most views, I would say. Not enough for the 'doubters', sufficient for the 'believers', a bit more positive for me who genuinely doesn't know. Doesn't stop me from hoping to hear news shortly after Marvin Rees' decision on the Arena are made public.

Why would WAQ allow those questions if he wasnt confident that he will deliver soon enough? They could have just avoided those questions altogether and just done a puff piece.

I love the idea that after an interview in which he describes people criticising him and abusing him even though they didn't know the full story and couldn't be told the full story for entirely proper reasons, that he gets criticism and abuse for not giving the full story.

Why would WAQ allow those questions if he wasnt confident that he will deliver soon enough? They could have just avoided those questions altogether and just done a puff piece. Precisely, I see how one or two have suggested that KB is an employee so would give him an easy ride or WAQ would be aware of the questions beforehand, without actually realising that that is exactly the point. If KB had free reign then good for him, if he was given permission to ask those questions then it actually reinforces the positive tone of the interview. If Wael really wanted to avoid those questions then the phrasing would have been different. As someone who follows politics a lot with its "what did they really mean by that" subtext, the way I saw it was confirmation of things happening in the background. Wael was so much more reassured than the previous interview, he isn't a natural stonewaller in my view so I remain cautiously optimistic.

The story around the signing of players is a good example of why we need to give him space for the ground. He knew things were going on but couldn't say.

It struck me as strange that Wael didn't mention redeveloping the Mem. It sounded to me that there was something else in the pipeline. Just the way he answered the stadium questions seemed a bit odd. The don't think our future lies at the Mem. I'd have liked a follow up question about this, as I interpret this to mean that we're following plan C now, and have either found a new site, or are planning a ground share, which I agree would not go down well with most fans, including me.

From what I have heard I suspect new site but I am unable to back that up with anything concrete so it remains nothing more than a guess at this point. Not for the want of asking I might add.

The clues are all there if you look hard enough .... and looks like I’m the only one who has. He’s building a 59,000 seater stadium in Yatton.
