That's not your take on optimism Henbury, is it ? The Latest Govt stats state that men "should" Live until the ripe old age of 86... Note sure they took into account the stress Gasheads live under I guess you are a young 56 year old by your posts.... I will only believe progress about our new stadium is when i'm sat in it.... But the signs are there that the owners intend to progress a stadium build.... so within 5 years my dream may come true

5 years? That will mean my first visit to a new stadium will be as a pensioner. Pensioners moan about everything. Especially about being a pensioner. No moaning here. I am growing old gracefully.

I'd have liked a follow up question about this, as I interpret this to mean that we're following plan C now, and have either found a new site, or are planning a ground share, which I agree would not go down well with most fans, including me. what you wouldn’t want to share trashton? Milan do it All those UEFA and Champions league games messing up our fixture list, no way! Anywhere else would be too far away, unless Twerton gets a £30 million face lft that is.

Without being disrespectful, i dont really like the fake tag. I do agree that Wael and family are looking to offload the club. In the space of 2 years, we have gone from absolutely needing a ground, 18 months on our only option being walked away from, 6 months forward to today, 24 months in, there is no concrete plan b. There have been other appointments in the back ground and small changes. But i dont think the family realized how much money they would need to invest and dont really intend on investing more than what they have to. How about a side bet If the family are still here in 12 months you pay £10 into FFS Club, if they leave within 12 months i will pay £10 to FFS club Agree.... ? Whether they want out or not they will still be here as who would buy a league 1 club £12m in debt with no UWE stadium on the horizon?. Just have to hope for the best with this lot but i still feel there are more questions then answers. Buy hey at least he isnt Nick Higgs

On the stadium. Wael did not confirm it would be at the Mem site nor did he say it would be elsewhere though. Talking about it in public could harm negotiations. With whom ? Contractors will do as instructed . So is this about not wanting knee jerk public reaction from neighbours ? Or playing devils advocate is it That the club are negotiating land purchase for a new site ?

Regeneration of the Mem would probably be last resort and they’ve only been here two years it’s very early days. I’d imagine they’ve got at least one location probably three or four that they’re looking at. We’ll find out all in good time.

The site at Frenchay hospital is a potential site. The downgraded hospital will be rebuilt in a more user friendly compact manner. This will free up a great deal of land. More than enough for a stadium and hotel and housing. The NHS/south Glos can then use the land sales to help fund the rebuilt hospital.
You heard it here first.

Could well be one of many sites they’re looking at. I’m not in the need to know now or it means they’re asset stripping camp though. Happy to let them get on with it and I’ll leep cheering on the team.
