Hypothetical I know, but with all the criticism Wael has had and the huge disappointment of the UWE I think it's fair to reflect on where we would be now without him. Almost certainly DC wouldn't be here which would probably mean we wouldn't be in League 1, but would we be in League 2 or instead of getting promoted, without DC would we have been relegated to the Conference again? I'm sure it's a given that no infrastructure would be in place,so that's no training ground and no Developevent squad. Financially would we have continued to battle Sainsbury's and maybe agreed a rental with UWE and would that have been good for our future? So..we dont have the UWE,development of the Mem or a top six budget, but I think it's worth reflecting on where we would be now if 2 years ago didn't happen.

We'd be in the Championship, pushing for promotion, 6th or 7th place I reckon.

I guess owned by one of the other 11 suitors who were outbid by the ALQ's? Who knows who they were perhaps they bought Wolves instead!

Far worse off that’s for certain, most probably in the National league playing in front of the faithful few. In Wael and DC we trust. UTG

I wouldn't underestimate the feel good factor, both for us and for the players in getting us promoted that season.
Knowing that DC's promise to offer new contracts all round would be honoured (or even just the expectation of better terms) plus the small changes such as the post training meals may just have made that bit of a difference. Big events turn on very small, seemingly innocuous, things.

I expect we would all have been emotionally blackmailed into handing over donations to the club for some cause or another with the promise of shares in a sinking ship. Sainsburys money would not be there the mem sold for a cheaper price the UWE stadium plans would have been amended and a new UWE would have surfaced. A 12,000 all seater stadium with the potential to be upgraded to more (20,000 prob) in the future. UWE would have still wanted the same income though. Matchday tickets priced at a competitive £35 for adults with pasties at £5 and beer at £7 a pint.

We would have been bought out by someone else most likely and would shortly be starting our campaign at UWE :-)
