How did your team get on yesterday against Leeds About the same as against Sunderland. Not quite, they only threw away a 2 goal lead against a better team 5 places below them. Thats an improvement I say!

I’d have him back at Rovers tomorrow. Hes not Bristolian and left for more money , probably 3 or 4 times as much money. Over two years that’s over a million quid. I don’t blame him for being a money grabbing pawn in a pathetic game of oneupmanship played by lansdown which is all that signing was about. He probably knew he wouldn’t be playing every week but also knew he’d be set up financially for life.

And to be honest, what he got as a signing bonus and his salary, really won't set him up for life.

Matty Taylor is currently unfit and not available for selection. He moved across the river for a much higher salary and the chance to play at a higher level - how many of us would not do the same if we had not been lifelong Rovers supporters? It didn't take Bodin long to sign up to Taylors' agent and he too moved to better himself. Move on - very few of our current players are former Rovers supporters. How did your team get on yesterday against Leeds Must admit I've only been supporting the Pirates - later Gas - for about seventy years but I'm sure that they didn't play Leeds yesterday. I do so hope that one day we may be able to get draws against teams like Leeds and Sunderland whilst playing in the Championship - or am I dreaming?

They way things are going Sunderland will be in League 1 next season and we may miss out on playing them. Would love to play Leeds as they are my 2nd team having followed them as a bot with the likes of Clarke, Giles, Hunter etc BTW i was joking about the sh**ty connection...

I’d say that makes him pretty comfortable and that before his signing on fee whatever that was.

In my opinion he missed a great opportunity to secure his longer term future by being the Butt end of a promotional stunt, 2 goals in 39 appearances, blighted by injury. The 82ers don’t like him either. He will be back down to lower end league 1 next season. Bodin I can understand and think he moved at the right time. Taylor rushed it and is wallowing now.

He’s a player so he looks after his future and his family. Quite right. Family comes first, second and third. He signed for us in the Summer so we got half a season and what 15 goals. In answer to WYHHB I would expect our manager to look at who was available and who wanted to come to us and if MT fitted that and was the best choice to make us a better club or team then yes I would have him back. But it’s not likely to happen so let’s move on. Interesting to see a few recent pictures when MT out socialising with Ellis and Ollie C, must be a good sign that there wouldn’t be a problem if he did come back. UTG!

Agree with this, if he'd of stayed to see out his contract in the summer then it's very unlikely he would have lost any value and could have left with at least a degree of respect. Unlike snakey, at least BB got his move sorted early in the window giving us an opportunity to replace him.....even though arguably we didn't! In fact you could say by dropping us in the sh*t he's dropped himself in the sh*t in more ways than one. Lol.

We should do what's best for our club, if we need a goal scorer to push us on and he was available and willing to come back, i'd hope we'd look at it purely from a footballing viewpoint, would he make us better. The players are still friendly with him so i can't see any problem with him fitting back in with the squad. Anyway if DC signed him and we all trust in DC, where's the problem.

There’s no way I’d have him back the treacherous little sh**. Nah he made his bed and now he can lie in it. Could have gone anywhere else. I don’t wish for his career to nose dive but if it did I’d barely be bothered to shrug to be honest, his decisions his consequences. He’s hardly hard up I’d have thought.

I'm sure your opinion would count loads, Licky, if push came to shove. MT and DC would be very upset if you didn't cheer his first couple of goals.

All players would be off-ski if the right offer comes in; unfortunately, we have never been able to keep our better players and that is not going to change any time soon. Rovers could have a look at their T&Cs and restrict players leaving for a no real money (£200k for the snake, ridiculous). Our choice was £0 or £300k.
