DC mentioned it in his pre match press conference, and I think I know why the atmosphere is lathargic.
A number of stewards position themselves at the rear of the Blackthorn end, intimidating the group of younger fans trying to start songs. I witnessed 3 lads being kicked out for celebrating the goal today!
Kicking out and banning fans is not going to help DC and the boys.

And they position themselves at the back for a reason.

They looked about 15 years old , teenagers celebrating a goal.
It’s not the first time this season.
Don’t forget the statement about telling fans not to jump around!

There's no way they would kick anyone out for a normal goal celebration.

Youngsters are always an easy target for someone in a yellow tabard, ridiculous, ffs too many people seem to forget the antics which went on in the tote. If the youngsters stop coming to the MEM then don’t just worry about atmosphere......

I’m sure by dealing with those who put others safety at risk well encourage more sensible young supporters along.

Yeah deliberately pushing people in front of them forward is stupid and dangerous and anyone doing it should be removed from the ground for that match and warned that if they do it again banned for the season whether their kids adults or pensioners. Their age shouldn’t make any difference even an 8 stone kid can push somebody a lot bigger off their feet if they push them hard from behind down a concrete step

The dick head of a chairman should realise the young fans are the future of the club so why should we not celebrate scoring

I sometimes stand in the middle section towards the back and to love the atmosphere, ffs if someone pushes you tell em to back off, they don't bite, yes i get knocked over sometimes during goal celebrations but thats part n parcel of the terraces(for those that dont know me im over 50 fat and unfit) . However the only hassle i've had there was from stewards, one dirty(steward lanky skinny ejit) perve kept touching my leg,he was told to feck off he did it again i calmly said to him do you want to give me a blow job if not f**k off you poof. that worked he fecked off. Was also watching the stewards and how they tended to jump on kids for no reason and god forbid they answer back, told em to back off a few times and they then left the kids alone, unfortunately a lot of stewards are like those pretend pigs(pcso''s) and get their kicks from trying to bully those they see smaller weaker than themselves. Basically if you see someone pushing have a polite word rather than hiding then complaining later ,tell em they don't bite. one game there was a lot of pushing from the back i turn around to tell em to feck off and it wasn't the yung uns ,it was an older watered up twat forcing his way through the crowd, i had a word and surprisingly he din't come back. so ask em to calm down a bit and you will be surprised how approachable they are, as someone else mentioned we were a lot worse on the tote at that age, To be fair and i'm not trying to start an argument if your getting a bit too old for the argy bargy maybe it's time to move to another part of the ground where it's a bit less hectic

Used to happen much more often at Eastville only us fans would grab the people being evicted.
