Very sad to hear. I don't know why the police don't eject trouble makers straight away - better still - Identify them and ban them for 3 , 5 years !! I went to Plymouth away 2 seasons ago and there was a bunch of 10- 15 "middle-aged" supporters -, near me who were not watching the game and giving stick to/provking the stewards all game - f@@k them out of the ground and BRFC should ban them !!!
I hope the injured Gashead is going to be alright ?

Mark, we need to be more ruthless as a club, everyone knows who the idiots are and the sad thing is they are not youngsters, I was abused by our supporters a few years ago at Reading that I was watching the game and not gesticulating at their fans. i hope the Gashead is ok, but this behaviour is unacceptable I will have a difficult decision to make in two years should I subject my son to this, and how do you explain when the offenders are his grandfathers age. Rovers start showing some B###s and get the footage and ban these tribal idiots, on the plus side makes beambacks more appealing 😄

Totally embarrassing behaviour from some of our fans, irrespective of the fact that the muff idiot went onto the pitch, that is simply not an acceptable excuse.
I honestly think that quite a few only go to away games simply to goad, shout abuse and gesticulate at the home fans. It's as if they are not actually interested in the football.
Whilst they were all busy puffing our their chests acting like hard men the game was being played on in front of us, they should have put their energy into supporting the boys like the majority of the true gashead supporters who stayed out of the fray.
I have only attended a handful of away games this season with my old man but after yesterday on the way back he said to me that the trouble makes him think twice about going again which is a real shame, could be one less supporter for the boys.
My 9 year old son keeps asking to come to an away game with us but I would never want to let him witness such pathetic discraceful behaviour so I definitely won't be bringing him with me for the foreseeable future. What a pity, one less supporter for the boys.
Hope the gas head who got hurt is going to be ok. I expect that he might not want to go to an away game after that, again probably one less supporter for the boys.

one of the reasons i have stopped going to away games is there seems to be a group that are aggressive almost to the extreme,

I have noticed for a while now that we have quite a few idiots in our fanbase. If I'm being honest I like part of the stupidity sometimes as it adds to the experience. There is a line though and I don't support violence or the so called fans that only go to goad opposition etc.

I enjoy away games partly because the atmosphere is more raucous and exciting but I don't think that sort of behaviour adds anything to the experience, for me it's just very annoying and distracts from the game.

You have probably only noticed due to the fact it only happens occasionally now. In the 70's it was at every away game. I know this does not make it right -- But it happens all through football. In fact throughout society. And don't think the stewards are angels ( or police ) either. In fact some of the stewards are best mates with these so called hard men. Really not sure what the answer is

I agree about it being historic, but there is more available nowadays to make a difference. More & better quality CCTV, the power of Social Media, Mobile Phones plus in general people don't want it - look what happened in the 60's & 70's, it brought the game to its knees in terms of attendances & barriers etc. It's not acceptable & the club need to take the lead, at home & away games making it easy for people to report situations & have zero tolerance of such behaviour.

The actions of a few seemingly uneducated cowards ruined what was a very good day out yesterday. I was amazed at how many brainless idiots spent the majority of the game simply goading the home fans without even looking at what was going on. '**** off and die', 'break his ****ing legs' were repeatedly hurled at their players, along with racist comments which were particularly unpleasant. Some women and children had to be moved as a result. Please can the club tackle these vile individuals and rid football of this disgraceful anti social behavior. Does anyone know a contact email address at the club I can report the incidents to?

The worst thing about yesterday was when the guy threw the chair, most rovers fans pointed him out to the stewards only for the stewards to just stand there and do nothing.

Perhaps this story of the chair thrower should get on social media to flush him out and get him banned and reported to the police.
I love this club but my goodness we have some real idiots that follow it.

A real shame that a few idiots have to let down the such an excellent away following we have, It's not the first time an incident like this has occurred sadly. I hope the gashead hit by the chair makes a swift recovery and that they catch those responsible for such reckless behaviour.

It can’t be that hard to find and ban some of the middle-aged idiots who cause most of the aggro - it’s usually the same 15-20 overweight watered buffoons. If they’re not goading the opposition, it’s the stewards, and if not them they’re picking on other gasheads. They don’t even watch the game. They’re the reason we get searched before certain games and it wateres me off. From a grumpy middle aged idiot who just wants to watch the game...

They spent the majority of the game making moronic gestures to the home fans, and the rest shouting comments such as the above on numerous occasions. Not that hard to comprehend surely? Regardless of interpretation, these vile idiots should have no place in football.

On the few occasions they watched the game, they shouted obscene things at the Plymouth players. The rest, and majority of the time, they were climbing on seats making gestures and goading the home fans. Complete morons.
