I know he's proved everyone wrong at every level in his career but he does look out of place at L'pool. He's been awful from pre-season to tonight.
He looks like a cassette tape in a digital team.
I really hope he produces the goods again but I fear he'll leave Merseyside in January.

Really hope he makes it, for him and for us. Five games thus far, surely must be a first "add on" after playing 10

I don't think it's a class thing, but I do think it was a silly purchase. He just doesn't fit into their system, the way they play football. Also the type of player who needs to play regular games, giving him 10 minute cameos and then a Capital One Cup game just isnt going to work for him.

Feel for him atm. Dream move but he's being asked to do the same role as Suarez currently. They either need to change their system to suit him or not play him.
What he needs is to come on with Liverpool 3-0 up against a tired defence with half an hour or so to gain some confidence.

Balotelli (the world's most overrated footballer) has hardly been any better since he has come on.)

He's pretty similar to the Andy Caroll role and that didn't work at Liverpool. Makes you wonder why they signed Rickie

I just hope that if he doesn't make it at Liverpool, then fans remember him for being the player who has climbed the leagues brilliantly over the last 5/6 years and not the one who failed at a massive club. Football fans can be such a fickle bunch and although he may not make it at Liverpool, he has been a great success everywhere else. Still a long time to go yet though for Rickie to prove he can do it.

I was surprised he went there. At his age you'd think he'd want to be playing every week for a lower or average prem side than play 20 mins here and there for a bigger prem side. Can see him leaving in January and going to Palace or somewhere and doing well.

It was his only chance to play for the club he has supported since he was a boy and he has already proven he can do it at an average/good Premier League side. Although he isn't getting as many minutes as he would at another club, he felt he probably couldn't turn down a chance of a lifetime.

Can't believe people are writing him off after one start. Imagine if you all wrote him off after his first start with us...

Yeah I'm surprised because he's only got probably got a season or two left at the top and he's probably going to spend most of it sat on the bench. Is it that hard to understand ? I appreciate he's a scouser but if I had the chance of sitting on the bench for Rovers or playing every week for someone else I'd rather play every week.

And he won't spend most of it on the bench if he performs well enough. I'm sure he hasn't gone to Liverpool thinking he will be on the bench all the time and is instead hoping he can contribute to a club he has always loved be successful. He also has the opportunity to play Champions league football. Joining Liverpool was an absolute no brainer for him.

Maybe it was a no brainer for him and I really hope it works out for him there I really do. I just think that he'll probably look back thinking his heart ruled his head. I was really enjoying watching him play more or less week in week out for saints on match of the day and now seeing him sit on the bench for Liverpool saddens me a bit because he should be on the pitch scoring goals not playing second fiddle to people like Ballotelli. It's almost like he's now in the same situation with liverpool as he's in with England. At Rickies age he should be playing as much as possible.

God knows why he has been given so much more of a chance than Lambert. Have you ever seen a footballer as overrated as him? Batotelli £16mil or Welbeck £16 mil? I know who I'd choose.
