It would have gone wide anyway. Just got to say i feel much more assured now with Slocombe in goal. Just his general presence and all round distribution gives me confidence. i think we got a really good keeper there.... at last.

Did you not see the pathetic attempt to punch the ball, when Marriott dinked the ball back in,after he failed to come for a corner on 25 secs of that video?

The game today was very strange.
Lines and Sercombe were absolutely pathetic, I can't remember either of them making a pass to a team mate in the whole of the game. Partington not much better.
Yet we could and should have won the game in the second half. I thought one of their players had hand balled in the run up to their equaliser, and unless the rule is now different, Ellis was clean through on goal when a Posh player deflected the ball to him, but he was hauled back for offside.
Referee was just as pathetic as the one at Plymouth. Every little 50-50 was given to them, but next to nothing to us.
A good result in normal times, just a shame that this draw just about kills off our season. Still, while it's mathematically possible we still have to try for it.

We’re only 6 points off now it was 7 before today. How does that kill our hopes ?

Did you notice who played on the left out of the 2 centre-backs today? Im curious as they are both left footers.

Maybe you didnt understand what i said? Under dc and at most clubs with 2 centre-backs one of them plays left of centre and one on the right hand side. Unless they are man marking which isnt that common now the centre-backs hold their position. I was interested to know if broadbent or craig played on the left side of central defence. Strangely despite what you said and i broadly agree with you in the past dc has said he prefers a right footed and left footed centre-back combination. I played over 400 western league games and over 100 hellenic league games of which some of the later ones were at centre-half so in all honesty i do have a idea. Most central positions are not normally especially relevant to which foot a player prefers although in a perfect world a right and left foot combination could still be preferred it could be argued. All i wanted to know from a person at the match was whether craig or broadbent played on the left side of centre.

I stand to be corrected as I’m not the most observant person but I’m pretty sure Broadbent played left of centre.

Not as close as I expected with that comment. Anyway, it looks and sounded like they had much the better of the game and attempts. Think we should be happy with a point.

Can you get much closer than a shot being cleared off the line? but it wasn't cleared off the line was it topper? It was trickling wide and it wasn't cleared off the line.
