Here's who's scored and how many for us in the league this season.
Any successes/disappointments ? Who will improve ? What positions need to be added to get more goals/assists ?

Ollie Clarke 1 goal. Lee Brown 1 goal. That really surprises me, Browner not played so much but usually good for chipping in with a few. Ollie Clarke should be scoring more for a midfielder, I know he’s been injured but a poor season for him compared to last season. On the plus side Sercombe has been fantastic.

Our defenders don't score enough from set pieces. Those stats show how much we miss a predator like Taylor in the box. They pull defenders and create chances for others. Our attack is a bit static since he left. Not enough movement in the box, meaning not enough chances being created.

Such a shame Nichols has been a poor signing so far. When you lose your best striker and don’t replace him you have to hope the midfield and defence improves and luckily it has even though it’s still not great for this level.

Here lies the problem! If we don’t have a prolific scorer it puts pressure on the defence and they get all the blame.

and the best striker we have seems to spend most of his time defending as well!

Ollie has always been a limited, deep-lying playmaker type of midfielder though. I don't think he's ever been on a moment where he's scored consistently during his long stay with us. For him, we should be more concerned with assists and % of positive through balls/threaded passes/killer passes.

I don't know how accurate it is, but according to transfermarkt, he only has 2 assists during his whole Rovers career.

Last season he was a ball winner a play maker, scored a few and was player of the season. This season he’s been poor , it’s difficult to say for sure if it’s down to injuries because DC never talks about them and from what i can gather the players are banned from talking about them too. I assume his poor form is down to fitness problems because for a player to go from being our outstanding player one year to probably our worst midfielder the next is unusual. Hopefully he’ll stay for fit and have a proper pre season which he didn’t have (I think ) last year.
