Now he may be successful to a point, but give me DC over Neil Colin Warnock any day. His behaviour tonight was disgraceful. DC held it together after the Plymouth game although the anger was in his eyes, and when he says “we’ll dust ourselves off and go again” that is genuinely what we do. Colin was a bitter loser in 1990 and nothing’s changed since.

Bill shankly said "show me a good loser and i will show you a loser" Warnocks a winner and has been an outstanding manager in my view. I reckon the more people from opponents that hate a manager or a player the better they are. I thought only city fans called him "colin"?

Might be an asshole but he knows his way out of a division at the right end.
Hes one of them blokes you have a pure hatred for, but you also know he's doing a job wherever he goes more often than not.
Think he'll pick up a fine tonight after being caught telling wolves manager where to go at least 7 times lol

Threatening players with 'you'll get your legs broken' in front of young children getting players autographs in the Twerton days..... says it all

Don't remember Warnock though.... Kevin Keegan was a really top bloke, but Ron Atkinson was a right prick....

The perceived wisdom is he's a good manager. But think about it. He's a nasty tempered individual. You can imagine how his training sessions go & his man-management skills. And of course this bullying works. Briefly. But it wears off quickly. When has he ever developed a team? Had long-term success? He's a quick fix. Nothing more. (And even if he was any good, I wouldn't want his churlish, oafish presence anywhere near Rovers.)

Personally if I owned a championship club then I would want him with a view to kicking him out not long after getting promotion.

He enjoys playing the pantomime villain and revels in the attention. we need charectars like Warnock. The game would be a much more boring place without him.

Could you see him excepting anything less than 100% effort ?

Who play's better football? Bristol City. Who represents their club better? Lee Johnson.
Which manager and club will be playing premier league football next season and earn a sh** load of money to make them more sustainable and successful? Warnock and Cardiff. And that is the main thing at the end of the day.

I know this thread is a tenuous rovers link but it just reminded me of the same level of love and respect he showed our great 1990 championship winning team. He hated rovers after that. As for being a successful manager, yes until he gets to a level where 1970s football isn’t enough and he fails every time. Eddie Howe and Sean Dyche are smart enough to adapt

So the Wolves Manager ignored Warnocks offer of a handshake at the final whistle and chose instead to celebrate the victory. He then followed Warnock onto the pitch and attempted to shake his hand and was promptly told to f..k off! Not the first time this has happened after a Wolves game this season. Fair play to Warnock I say and with seven promotions already in his locker who could doubt what a great Manager he is. Did our Manager not have a similar incident at Fleetwood last season or is my memory failing me. Always thought the handshakes immediately at the end of a game were good manners, the Wolves boss needs to realise this.

Fwiw, all this stuff about do what the f**k you like on the pitch and it's all ok coz you shake hands afterwards is bullshit, imo. I've played with people who were total lady gardens on the field, and then expect to shake hands afterwards 'like men' and it's all ok and forgotten. Behave like a man on the pitch, if you want to shake hands like men when it's all over. Don't behave like a sly cheating scum on the pitch and then whine about class and propriety off the pitch.
*All this nothing to do with the Warnock incident, as I didn't see it; just talking generally.
