What we know so far..
Oxford and Gloucester have opted out division one for 2018 to be replaced by Bristol Rugby league. The newly formed BRL 2019 will start in division one next January. The fixtures will come out in November 2018 along with Season ticket deals. One giant in division one is Bradford Bulls. What we don't know..
The venue : budgets ; interest. Pro's
Funding from R L F Possible grants for ground revamping Sky live games Super league Extra income cons
Damage to pitch So would you want them en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_Rugby_LeagueYES or NO

If it was a long term venture that enabled a purpose built stadium to be built then I would be more than happy. The pitch that has been laid at trashton proves that 2 different sports can share a ground.

Yes. But dependent on how much revenue rovers will get and the pitch will need serious money spent on it! As stated the league lads dnt scrum or maul so less damage than the union lot.. Could be the gas gloucs cc and bristol rubgy league club as north bristol sporting alliance

I'd like to see Rugby back at the mem. After all it is the historic home of rugby in Bristol.
However it all depends on any deal put on the table. With the right pitch that would hold up properly it would be a welcome income stream. Much more lucrative than chicken in a basket or a cabaret night!

Out of interest where do Bristol RL actually hope to play their games, surely they must have a ground in mind before they entered the league for next season?

Whatever it would only be for a season or two until another rugby league franchise fails outside of its "heartland'. No demand equals no future.

If it earns us more money for pasties and turnsiles then happy days. Our pitch couldn't get much worse currently so why not?

For the 2 sports to play on it you need a Desso pitch.
So if the Mem was revamped with a Desso pitch ( ๐ค๐ ) then I donโt see a problem.
Does anyone watch Rugby League South of Manchester anyway?
