What's everyone thinking about this, will Accrington get a pounding each week or do you think they can hold their own? And how will Sunderland do, especially bearing in mind they were tipped to go up from the championship last season? I mean for a start we could take a big amount to Sunderland away.

Accrington will hold their own in League one I reckon. Coleman’s a good manager and I think he will manage to work with a tight budget to produce a decent team. I don’t expect them to set the world alight but recent teams to get promoted from league 2 have done pretty well so why shouldn’t Accrington?
A club the size of Sunderland should be accepting no less than promotion and they will have a budget 2/3 times the size of most clubs in this league. If they get it wrong they could end up like Leeds and Sheffield United and languish in L1 for a couple of years but I think it’s more likely that they will emulate what Blackburn have done this year and go straight back up. There’s no givens in football though.

Accrington have got a decent team there and if they keep hold of Kee and McConville and add one or two they should be OK.
I worry for Sunderland and if they take this division lightly will be in for a big shock. They need a big clear out and I think they could be at this level for more than just one season. Looking forward to a trip to the Stadium of Light though and reckon it will be a big following from Rovers.

I still remember us tonking them 5-1 at home 5 or so year ago, it would be nice to see a repeat of that.

What's everyone thinking about this, will Accrington get a pounding each week or do you think they can hold their own? And how will Sunderland do, especially bearing in mind they were tipped to go up from the championship last season? I mean for a start we could take a big amount to Sunderland away. All three promoted teams from last season look as though they will finish above us - Accrington have achieved what they have deserved - I see no reason why they shouldn't do well next season. Today's game just typifies for me what was a disappointing result reflecting a disappointing season - few highlights (apart from maybe Wolves) with little or no progression on or off the pitch. UnfortunateLy I can't see much change next season, certainly on the pitch - without major financial investment in the team which to me is unlikely to happen. To use DC's words - will he become "a sitting duck?"

Think Accrington will have a very tough season but I think they'll finish reasonably comfortably - 17thish
And I agree with previous posts, I think Sunderlands season will depend on how much respect they give this league, theoretically they're on parachute payments so could easily do a wigan of last year, or they could do a Portsmouth of years gone by. The 'big fish in the pond' tend to go one way or the other, either way it'll probably be a totally unpredictable season for them.

Accy will do okay i think, Sunderland will be everybodys cup final and i expect will lose a few of the bigger names and probably find it hard to get any decent signings to move there. Looking forward to going there, so will probably be midweek in january and bloody freezing.

Accy will do us as usual and probably do a Burton and be up there challenging. Sunderland will do a Wigan/Blackburn, too big for league 1. Looking forward to that trip!

I think it will be a season long stay for Sunderland. Just can’t see a club that size not going straight back up. Of course, nothing is ever certain in football, but their budget will be monumental for the 3rd tier.

Looking forward to Sunderland away, will probably have to make a weekend of it, can’t always get return flights on a Saturday (assuming we don’t get a Tuesday night fixture) but a weekend in Newcastle isn’t all bad 😉

Any team in league 1 given a 35 million gift at the start of the season should win the division. How Accrington or anyone else is supposed to compete with that I’ll never know

Re Sunderland.
In the 2014/15 season we were 4 divisions apart.
