Would have loved it if we could have got him on a longer term deal but since then, he has gone forwards and sadly we've gone backwards.

There are certain players who came here on far more permanent deals who probably walked away and never gave us a second thought. That's why it is nice to see Tom remembers - the hashtag says it all

It's odd how Ward was such a success in his first season with loan signings etc but such a dismal failure last season eg Hitchcock v Beardsley/Bond!

Yeah, Beardsley seemed a cheap option as Preston were keen to off load and Bond was a cm so made no sense signing him so maybe he was the only cheap 'winger' we could get. Andy Bond was dreadful. Can't believe he is playing for a league club.
