If the FA sell the home of English football to allow an American football franchise to play in England then football is dead in this country!
I don’t want the memory of the playoff final to be flogged to some yanks! Absolute joke!

Just to play devil's advocate, that kind of money could do a hell of a lot for the grassroots game

I'll be livid if this happens.
Also, will tax payers be refunded for paying for the stadium?
"The FA receives about £29 million of government funding per year.
The organisation’s accounts for 2015 also show multi-year grants of £120 million specifically relating to Wembley Stadium.

I'd bite their arm off....Souless bowl of a stadium. Lost any heritage when the iconic twin towers were pulled down. Build something beautiful with proper access nationally outside of London.

The plan was to turn that shithole into a nice area through regeneration around it as happened with the Olympic park. Don’t think it’s worked though.

No need for a 'National Stadium' in this day and age. England should play in different stadiums around the country. They do it in Germany, France etc. Take the England football team to the Nation, and don't expect the Nation to go to London to see the National team!

I bet some anonymous people will pick up a big cheque each if they sell it

I'm ambivalent about this news. I don't really like Wembley and I don't like that the FA cup semis are played there.
For me if the sale means:
- Money pumped into grassroots football - England playing more games away from Wembley - FA cup semis not played at Wembley - Lower league finals (Like the conference final) not played at Wembley - FA having the option to reduce ticket prices to see England
Then I'll happily sell up Wembley to that bloke.

Just to play devil's advocate, that kind of money could do a hell of a lot for the grassroots game If by grassroots you mean the vampiric blood suckers of the premier league, I'm sure they'll help the FA allocate the distribution of any funding...

Spot on, let's not think for a second that this would benefit football league clubs in any way
