On the subject others have touched on its hard to imagine dc offering lee brown a 2 year deal on improved terms on this seasons patchy form.

Which begs the question if he is signing for Pompey, rather than say Wimbledon, what do they see in him DC doesn't? I also wonder if his replacement will set up a goal like Browner did yesterday, whilst also being generally sound in defence?

Matters not where he goes. Great servant to the gas, deserves whatever comes to him at whatever level. Loyal, honest and left with his head held high. I hope we see him again, he will always get a round of applause from me, even if we get dicked 9-1 and he scores 8.

Best of luck to Browner, he is in his prime, and understandably looking for a new challenge; l just hope BRFC do not lose any more senior players, it will be interesting to see how D.C. goes about bringing in some quality signings. Until Waq delivers new facilities it will be very difficult to attract decent players to the MEM. To progress the club need to be able to compete with the likes of Charlton Athletic and Pompey.

Perhaps if it is Pompey he is going to then might explain how we seemed to get hold of Bennet perhaps there was some sort of deal made ?

Lee Brown is another quality player that we are losing, will be difficult to replace. I hope that DC is seriously backed this window. Our squads needs to be freshened up, keeping a core but adding better players to it. I think DC has to be honest and that some of the 11 this season will have to accept that they will be on the bench or off to a new club.
If we don't bring the players in, I dont see us being any better than where we currently are.

good luck to him, at least hes got the sense to leave us and go on to something better as were going now where at the moment apart from downwards. Just negative. Best position we have been in as a club for the last 10 years, we have a talented manager, a more professionally run club than we have had for ages, and a new training ground being built. I know the stadium hasn't gone to plan but from what I know they are committed to sorting that.

Until the club catches up off the pitch with the fantastic progress made on the pitch in the last four seasons, we're in no position to improve on what we currently are anyway. Let's be realistic. We've had two promotions in the last four years, restoring us to our historical level and exceeding that of more recent times. Where we are now is actually pretty good. It's just that we've become spoilt with success under DC.

Cook took pompey to promotion but then left for wigan. Kenny jacket became pompey boss but bennett didnt fit in to his plans. There is no conspiracy.

I think hes struggled defensively in league one along with all our full backs. Going forward hes a great outlet and one of the best at this level imo.

Solid, consistent and reliable. He has played for seven seasons not just because he is loyal, but because the managers have rated him, now when he is in his prime, a bigger club will offer him more money and a longer term contract than BRFC. I just hope Waq gives D.C. a competitive league one budget for next season, if as l suspect he won’t, we could be struggling.

Also our successful Development Squad who in time will give us new first team players and save DC of running the risk of buying players who don't perform. We've already seen what talent lies in there in winning their league in their first season and several players making the first team bench

Great servant to the club who deserves our best wishes. I think Browner moving on has been on the cards this last year, remember rumours of a £100k offer as far back as last summer. Suspect it would have been a 1 year deal from DC so if he gets a 2 year deal on better wages then it makes sense to move closer to his home near London. Good luck Browner.

I hope Lee does better for his new team than our last two 'departees'. The snake has hardly appeared for the Teds (serves the greedy sod right!) and even Billy didn't get a game on Saturday.
