16,000, still better than 6,500 at Scunthorpe. Scunthorpe’s support is pathetic! How the hell do they have a bigger playing budget than we do! Wealthy owner just like brentford, city, preston, fulham blah blah Bournemouth get 10,000 in the premier league but there wage budget is about £35,000,000 more than ours.

In league one an owner can gift the club any amount of money he wants to without breaking The league one version of FFP as long as it is a gift and not a loan.

Scunthorpe owner obviously happy to lose a hell of a lot of money in his search for championship football if their budget really is massive ?

It's about ensuring you can pay back your loans and you don't get into too much debt. It's not about a level playing field.

Dont think there budget is massive though i believe its higher than ours. I read somewhere that the owner wrote of some previous substantial debt. Scunthorpe loss was £3.4m on last accounts £2.6m the year before. Their player wage bill was £2.7m on there last accounts. Reckon ours is about £2.3m based on a weird bit of IKN information i somehow bumped into.

Shocking standard of football!
Gutted Boreham Wood didn’t do it, but on balance if you can’t put 10 men away over 89 minutes you don’t deserve to go up.

But doesn't that "gift" have to be in the form of Sponsorship? I think Fleetwood rented out a room in their new stand to the owners for an absurdly high price just to get around FFP, I don't think it is as easy as handing over a cheque.

Regarding TV money. Pretty sure that the extra amount premiership clubs get under the most recent deal was more than a years taking at the turnstile*. Could let people in for free and still have more cash. *Evolution will mean we will have iris scanner season tickets or you will get lazered ala resident evil

"The FL Turnover figure includes donations from the owners to the club and injections of equity. Loans from club owners are understandably not included in the Turnover figure as these would result in growing club debts." www.financialfairplay.co.uk/scmp.php

The other interesting thing he said was how much of a dividend being in the Premiership was for the town as a whole, such as hospitality for away fans and the town is now known to overseas businesses due to TV exposure. Apparently house prices are bucking the trend and are upwards too.

Donations or injections of equity from the owner count as part of the clubs turnover in SCMP rules. So its as easy as handing over a cheque. Google it.

Norburn and Hughes playing for Tranmere. Woodards, Balanta and Shakes in Boreham Wood team.Virgo commentating and Hargreaves summarising. Plenty of Gas vonnevtion. James Norwood playing for Tranmere. Pretty sure it was Ollie Norburn who did not much for us before going to other places, Plymouth and Guisely. UTG!
